Wisła II: Defeat against Avia
After a string of two impressive victories, the White Star's second-place team unexpectedly suffered a heavy defeat at home. Avia Świdnik dominated from the first whistle and showed how to capitalize on opportunities. Despite Wisła's best efforts, they were forced to swallow the bitter defeat, losing 1-4. Karol Tokarczyk scored Wisła's goal from the penalty spot.
From the opening minutes, the visitors showed no intention of giving Wisła any respite. Although both teams initially played it conservatively, Świdnik's dominance became increasingly apparent with each passing minute. In the fourth minute, Kacper Chełmecki tried his luck, but his shot sailed over the crossbar. Despite several attempts, the hosts were unable to mount a successful offensive, and their offensive efforts were clearly hampered by the visitors' well-positioned defense. Avia continued to maintain their momentum and took the lead in the 23rd minute. After a superb long pass, Arkadiusz Maj found himself one-on-one with Kamil Broda and confidently beat the goalkeeper to open the scoring. Just two minutes later, the home side were on the verge of another loss when a long-range shot hit the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Avia proved their mettle once again. After a mistake by Kamil Broda clearing the ball, the visitors won a corner, from which Mateusz Machała extended the ball with a header, and Arkadiusz Maj gave the goalkeeper no chance, increasing the score to 2-0. Wisła tried to respond, but in the 42nd minute, Karol Tokarczyk's free kick found goalkeeper Avi.
Better disposition of guests
The second half began with a strong attack from the visitors. In the 52nd minute, Arkadiusz Maj found the net for the third time, this time from close range, and Wisła struggled to respond for a long time. Shortly after, in the 56th minute, Maj acted as an assist, passing to Andriy Remeniuk, who lobbed Kamil Broda for their fourth goal. Wisła, though determined, couldn't break through the visitors' solid defense. In the 61st minute, Maciej Kuziemka unleashed a dangerous shot, but goalkeeper Avi was alert and held his ground. In the 77th minute, Szymon Kawała, attempting to score, shot straight into the Świdnik goalkeeper's hands. However, the hosts didn't give up until the end. In the 90th minute, Karol Tokarczyk won a penalty, which he converted himself, reducing the score to 1-4.
