Private Vistula Museum Kraków R48 named after M. Stolczyk
The museum was established in 2023 on the initiative of Krzysztof Gaweł from the KiM Group, a long-time partner of the White Star and patron of Wisła's history.
The Private Museum of the Vistula Kraków R48 named after M. Stolczyk is one of the key initiatives in preserving the historical heritage of the Vistula Kraków.
"R48" collects priceless artifacts from the history of the Sports Association: match jerseys, trophies, medals, badges, documents, photos, and other treasures. Football memorabilia dominates the collection, but the museum also reflects the multi-disciplinary nature of Wisła and displays materials related to basketball, athletics, skiing, and other sports under the White Star banner.

Many former Wisła athletes have deposited their personal memorabilia in "R48," and among the most valuable exhibits are Antoni Szymanowski's medals, Adam Musiał's and Adam Nawałka's jerseys, and pre-war documents and badges. All artifacts are meticulously cataloged and under professional conservation care. The curator is Jan Ostroga, a museologist with many years of experience , and Zdzisław Skupień serves as a consultant on the acquired collections.
The Private Museum also features works of art that reflect the slogan "The Vistula River Inspires Artists." These include paintings by Wlastimil Hofman and graphics and sculptures by Tadeusz Zych. The Museum's mascot is a bronze figure of a dragon proudly displaying a scarf with the slogan "It matters with WHO! Only the Vistula!"
The Museum's patron is Marian Stolczyk, a Wisła striker from the 1970s and a friend of Krzysztof Gaweł. Stolczyk passed away prematurely in 2002, and the Museum commemorates him and his sincere dedication to Wisła.
The Wisła Kraków R48 Private Museum, named after M. Stolczyk, is open to visitors after prior arrangement with the Wisła History Association via email ( redakcja@historiawisly.pl ) or via social media. Selected memorabilia from the R48 Museum is also presented during "Legends Corner," a series of meetings with former Wisła players and coaches initiated by Krzysztof Gaweł before White Star matches, and in the official Fan Shop.
