U-19: third place in the tournament in Zabrze

Wisła Kraków's U-19 players finished third in the Ernest Pohl tournament in Zabrze. Coach Karol Nędza's side lost to Ruch Chorzów over the two-day competition, leaving Górnik Zabrze and the Ukrainian Football Challenge in the dust. For the White Star's senior juniors, it was the final test before the start of the Central Junior League.

Wisła Kraków U-19 players spent last weekend in Zabrze, where they participated in the Ernest Pohl Tournament. Wisła finished the two-day competition in third place.

On Saturday, coach Karol Nędza's side lost 3-1 to Ruch Chorzów (Filip Kowalski scored), and then defeated Górnik Zabrze 2-1. Kajetan Świętochowski and Dawid Gap were on the scoresheet.

On Sunday, Wisła defeated the Ukrainian Football Challenge 5-1 in a match that decided third place in the tournament. Tomasz Dusik, Dawid Gap, Kajetan Świętochowski scored, and Łukasz Staniow scored twice.

For Wisła Kraków's senior juniors, this was the final test before the league season begins. This Saturday, the White Star will open the fall round of the Central Junior League in Myślenice against Jagiellonia Białystok. Kick-off is at 12:00 noon.
