Wisła II: One point with Siarka
The White Star's second team played their final home league match of the fall season on Sunday afternoon. Coach Aleksander Mikhailov's side hosted Siarka Tarnobrzeg at Prądniczanka's stadium, ending in a 1-1 draw and a share of the points. Karol Tokarczyk scored the goal for the Reymont team.
The first half of the clash with Siarka was largely an even battle in midfield, with both sides making limited attacks. The first scoring opportunities were a bit of a wait, as neither team managed to seriously threaten the opposing goal for a long time. Ultimately, the visitors were more consistent, causing several threats to Kamil Broda, playing the ball more frequently around the penalty area, and generating more set pieces, but none of this resulted in a goal on target. For the remainder of the first half, neither Wisła nor Siarka managed to find a way to beat the opposing goalkeeper, and the teams went into the break with the score tied.
A duel to a draw
After the break, the game changed somewhat, although the opening goal once again belonged to the visitors. However, the Kraków team wasn't idle either, and in the 51st minute, Piotr Starzyński found himself one-on-one with the visiting goalkeeper, ultimately failing to convert the opportunity to open the scoring. A few dozen seconds later, after Radosław Skała fouled a Siarka player in the penalty area, the referee awarded the visitors a penalty. A Tarnobrzeg player tried to beat Kamil Broda from 11 meters, but the goalkeeper read the shooter's intentions perfectly, preventing his team from conceding. The visitors tried to find the back of the net after the rebound, but again, they missed. This moment spurred the home side into a fightback, and they began to increasingly trouble their opponents, although the latter also showed no signs of slowing down. The game picked up considerably, and the fierce competition continued. The Tarnobrzeg team were the first to show their effectiveness – in the 73rd minute, they launched a quick attack, following which a Siarka player shot from the right flank, hitting the post, but the rebound eventually found the back of the net. Kraków responded exactly 10 minutes later, when Karol Tokarczyk collected a pass from Danylo Boiko and fired a shot just inside the penalty area, equalizing the score. In the closing stages, both teams were clearly eager to tip the scales in their favor. Both Wisła and Siarka had chances, but the score remained unchanged.
