U-15: A good start, but no points

Despite a promising start, the Wisła Kraków U-15 team was forced to concede defeat to their rivals, Stal Rzeszów. The match ended in a 2-4 defeat for the home side, although the young Wisła players dominated the game for a long time. Franciszek Zych and Valdyslav Kovalskyi scored goals for Wisła.

The match began with a bang for the home side. Wisła imposed intense pressure on their opponents, winning the ball high and often forcing their opponents into mistakes. The team was well-organized, and their active tackling translated into scoring opportunities. In the first half, Wisła held possession more often, while the visitors from Rzeszów were mainly limited to medium and low pressing. Franciszek Zych gave Wisła the lead, managing to navigate the confusion following a corner kick and slotting the ball into the net.

After the break, Stal attempted to increase the intensity of the game, but it was Kraków that found the net again – after another possession in the opponent's half, Wróblewski passed the ball to Kovalski, who confidently shot it to make it 2-0. Wisła seemed to have the match under control, but then the tide turned. The visitors quickly scored a goal from the break, and a few minutes later equalized. Rzeszów followed suit, taking a 3-2 lead after a penalty kick. To make matters worse, Sobociński-Prokop received his second yellow card in the 64th minute, forcing Wisła to finish the match shorthanded. Playing with ten men, Kraków were unable to regain their previous rhythm, and Stal sealed the victory with a fourth late in the match.

"These were two completely different halves. In the first, we executed our goals brilliantly, playing with great intensity and confidence. In the second, we lacked concentration and consistency, anxiety crept in, and we lost control of the match, which the opponent was able to effectively exploit," said coach Dawid Ślusarczyk.
