U-17: A draw with a slight disappointment

The U-17 team, led by coach Patryk Jałocha, traveled to Rzeszów to face local side Stal in the 22nd round of the Central Junior League. The match was full of excitement and twists and turns, but ultimately ended in a 2-2 draw and a share of the points. Alan Bąk and Kacper Gut scored for the White Star.

The visitors showed their effectiveness early on. Alan Bąk perfectly positioned himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and with a precise shot slotted the ball into the net, giving his team the lead. The following minutes saw a strong performance from the Kraków side, who created several more dangerous chances. The hosts responded primarily from crosses, but they struggled to break down the opposition's defense. Just before halftime, in the 40th minute, a Stal player successfully blocked a cross at the far post, leveling the score.

A duel to a draw

After the break, the visiting team took the lead again. Kacper Gut fired a well-placed shot from the corner of the penalty area, slotting the ball into the top corner of the far post. Soon after, Alan Bąk could have doubled the lead, but his shot was blocked by the Stal goalkeeper. Rzeszów refused to give up and equalized in the 60th minute. The final half-hour of the match was full of excitement. In the 70th minute, a home player received a red card, giving the visitors a numerical advantage. Despite this, they failed to capitalize on this advantage. The Krakow team pressed forward, but lacked effectiveness. The home team also refused to give up, creating dangerous chances throughout the match. Ultimately, neither side was able to secure victory, and the match ended in a draw.
