Sewing Machine: I'm not giving up
Wiktor Szywacz, a key player in the reserve team, also made his presence felt in the friendly against Stal Rzeszów. The young player recently completed training sessions with the first team, culminating in a friendly match.
Coach Albert Rude recently called on young players from the reserve team, including Wiktor Szywacz. "I'm especially happy that it's been noticed that I'm performing well in the reserve team in the fourth league. I'm constantly trying, fighting for my chance. I got it primarily in terms of training with the team, because I only played briefly with Stal, so it was difficult to perform particularly well. I just have to keep working to earn my next chance," Wiktor Szywacz began.
The young midfielder isn't giving up on his quest to join the first team and earn minutes in the first division. "I'm working hard to earn my chance. I keep thinking that maybe my good performances in the reserves will be noticed by the first-team coach. I'm counting on that kind of promotion in the club's hierarchy. I won't hide the fact that it drives me to work even harder. I'm currently a reserve player, but I'm not giving up," he added.
Against Stal Rzeszów, Wiktor Szywacz came on late in the game. When asked if the change was planned, he replied: "No, I was simply supposed to be ready if I had to come on. Angel got hit hard in one of the fights, so I replaced him."
The young player is performing well for Wisła II Kraków. In the opening match, he won a penalty, which he converted, and then added a second goal. "I'm very happy that this form has come at the perfect time, at the beginning of the season. Now we just have to keep playing, maintain our top position in the fourth league, and when a chance comes from the first team, try to capitalize on it," he noted. "The fourth league also has its own unique characteristics. It's a bit like the teams we play against, until they're completely drained of oxygen, when we're no longer leading in a more convincing way, like 3-0, for example, they fight valiantly until the very end. For them, it's a matter of prestige to take points from Wisła Kraków. They want to show off, and you have to understand that. Every match will be tough, and you have to prove your worth in every match," concluded Wiktor Szywacz.
