After Friday's friendly against Stal Rzeszów, Wisła Kraków striker Szymon Sobczak shared his opinion on the match and the team's form. The friendly match, played at the Myślenice training ground, ended in a 1-2 loss for Wisła, with Sobczak playing for the first hour of the match.
Referring to the result, Sobczak emphasized the importance of such friendlies in building the team's confidence. "Of course, we prefer to win every match, including friendlies, because it builds our confidence. We worked hard this week, which may have contributed to our mistakes and losses during the match. We're not satisfied with the result, but we'll use this defeat to learn from it and improve our play in future matches," he began.
Many fans point out that Sobczak is becoming a lucky charm in league matches. When asked if he agreed with this, he modestly replied: "I think we'll leave the answer to that question until the end of the season. For now, we still have a lot to do and many matches to play. We're focusing on winning in Głogów for now, because I think it will be a very difficult match," he added.
Young players who are the strength of the White Star train with the first team. When asked which of them, in the striker's opinion, will most likely break into the first team, he replied: "I wouldn't like to judge my teammates individually. Every young player at Wisła Kraków has a very good chance to develop. However, the key is how they utilize their opportunities and work hard to prove their worth on the pitch."
