#WISSTA: Active break for the squad
Wisła Kraków's coaching staff has scheduled a friendly match against a league rival for Friday afternoon. Stal Rzeszów will visit the ORLEN OIL Training Center in Myślenice.
The international break is a moment to catch your breath, but also a good opportunity to thoroughly retrain certain elements. It's also a chance to balance the workload for players who have received fewer minutes on the pitch so far.
The Rzeszów team is a familiar opponent for the White Star. The Kraków team has already faced them three times this season – twice in the FORTUNA 1 Liga and once in the Polish Cup Round of 16. Wisła earned four points in their league clashes with Stal, drawing 0-0 at Reymont and winning 2-1 in the away leg. The cup clash, however, was a show of strength for Wisła, ending with a 4-1 victory and a secure advancement to the next round.
The Podkarpacie team didn't start the spring season well, suffering four league defeats in a row. However, they managed to break this losing streak in the final round, defeating Motor Lublin 2-1 at home. The upcoming friendly will be a perfect opportunity for Coach Zub's team to confirm that this successful result was no fluke and heralds a return to the right track.
By decision of both coaching staffs, there will be no live broadcast of this match.
