Reserves: Defeat against Wisła

The White Star reserve team played another friendly match against third-division team Wiślany Jaśkowice. The match ended in a 0-1 defeat for the home team.

The White Star players started the match promisingly. The Kraków team immediately went on the offensive, boldly breaking into the opponents' half and attempting to break down the Wisła defense. During the first quarter of an hour, Karol Tokarczyk attempted to open the scoring with a long-range shot, followed by Marc Grau's free kick, and Wiktor Szywacz also had a chance to score, but neither player was able to find the back of the net. The visitors gradually recovered from their initial lethargy, and the match began to even out, providing many exciting moments. The pace of play remained high throughout the first half, with both teams fully engaged in their quest to seize the upper hand and find a way to the other team's goal. Wisła prevented the visitors from fully developing their wings, patiently implementing their pre-match goals and creating further opportunities in their own penalty area. In the 33rd minute, the Kraków team pulled off one of their many successful moves, with Wiktor Szywacz passing from the left flank to Jakub Niewiadomski, who misplaced his shot, sending the ball sailing wide. In the final minutes of the first half, Wisła Kraków came close to scoring. The visitors created a threat when a player headed the ball into the Kraków goal, but Daniel Ramirez saved the home side by clearing the ball off the line. Moments later, a Jaśkowice player fired in a free kick, but this time Jakub Stępak showed quick reflexes.

A lot of fight and a good hit by the Wisła team

The start of the second half saw another improvement for the Kraków team, who once again exerted considerable pressure on their opponents, which unfortunately didn't translate into clear-cut chances in their penalty area. The opponents calmly responded to the White Star's players' actions and attempted to capitalize on their mistakes, firing several shots towards Wisła's goal. This was precisely how Wisła took the lead in the 72nd minute when one of their players found himself one-on-one with Jakub Stępak, then fired the ball straight into the net. This deficit further motivated the home side, who immediately set about closing the gap. Shortly after, Kamil Kaczówka had by far the best chance of the second half. He ran with the ball into the penalty area, found himself one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper, but ultimately shot just wide. In this part of the match, the Reymont team became more disorganized, but despite this, Wisła continued their attacking attempts until the end. Ultimately, the hosts failed to respond effectively to the well-organized Jaśkowice players.
