Loss in Łódź: #ŁKSWIS 1:3
Wisła Kraków returned from Łódź without a point. Their outstanding league match against ŁKS ended in a 1-3 defeat for the Kraków team. Alan Uryga scored the only goal for the White Star in the 97th minute.
In the opening minutes, both teams unsuccessfully attempted to seize the initiative. There was a flurry of passing, but none of it generated any scoring opportunities. This pattern continued until the 10th minute, when the hosts won their first corner of the match. Kamil Dankowski cleverly crossed the ball, and Andreu Arasa headed home the opening goal for ŁKS.
After conceding a goal, Wisła Kraków saw more possession. In the 24th minute, Rodado made a brilliant turn with a defender on his back. The Spaniard tried to surprise Aleksander Bobek with a shot just wide of the post, but the youngster successfully parried his shot. Wisła Kraków maintained play near the home penalty area, exposing themselves to quick runs by their opponents to Anton Chichkan's post.
Wisła Kraków had to make a bigger impact and soon found themselves in an even more difficult situation. This time, Andreu Arasa was the one to take on the assist role. The Łódź winger crossed the ball from the left side of the pitch to Stefan Feiertag, who was running in near the five-meter mark. The Austrian correctly read his teammate's intentions and, from close range, increased the score to 0-2. It was the 28th minute of the match. Wisła were trying to establish contact even before the break. Igbekeme attempted a long-range shot, but narrowly missed. Kazimierz Moskal's men went into the break two goals down after 45 minutes.
No break
The losing visitors needed to regain their footing as quickly as possible and use the ball more effectively in attack. Wisła's players came out in an ultra-offensive formation for the second half, forcing the Polish national team to defend deeply. However, after an hour, the score remained unchanged.
ŁKS primarily pressed forward down the wings, searching for further counterattacking opportunities. Unfortunately, the hosts were painfully effective on Tuesday evening, and one of their few chances ended in a VAR review and a penalty. Michał Mokrzycki confidently converted the set piece, and by the 71st minute the score was 0-3. The Wawel side were searching for a consolation goal, which Alan Uryga managed to pull off in stoppage time. The captain leveled the score at 1-3, and referee Wojciech Myć soon blew the final whistle at the Municipal Stadium in Łódź.
