Another league weekend has passed, with plenty of matches featuring young players from the Wisła Kraków Football Academy. Here's a quick summary of the results for the U-10, CLJ U-15, CLJ U-17, CLJ U-19, and Wisła II Kraków teams.
U-10: Victory in the 1st Memorial of Adam Musiał and Andrzej Iwan
On Saturday, the first Adam Musiał and Andrzej Iwan Memorial took place at the facility at 21 Dekerta Street in Krakow. The U-10 teams participated in the competition, organized in memory of the two Wisła legends. The young Krakow players, led by coach Mariusz Sobala, defeated Czech team Banik Ostrava in the final, triumphing in this special competition.
Wisła Kraków has had many outstanding players throughout its history. Among them were Adam Musiał and Andrzej Iwan, in whose honor a memorial was held, co-organized by the Wisła Kraków Football Academy. The event took place on Saturday at the facility at 21 Dekerta Street in Kraków, and featured U-10 teams.
Eleven teams competed. Originally, there were supposed to be twelve, but unfortunately, Górnik Wieliczka didn't make it to the competition. The teams were divided into two groups. Coach Mariusz Sobala's players were placed in Group A, along with Wanda Nowa Huta, Akademia 21 Chrzanów, Wieczysta Kraków, ROW Rybnik, and Banik Ostrava (Czech Republic). The second group consisted of Górnik Zabrze, Hutnik Kraków, Zagłębie Sosnowiec, Cracovia, and Wisła Kraków London, representatives of our certified football academy operating in the UK.
The young Wisła team confidently progressed through the group stage, defeating all their opponents, except for ROW Rybnik, who proved marginally better against the White Star. The Kraków team finished first in their group with 12 points. The fans gathered at the stadium that day had the opportunity to watch the derby between Wisła and Cracovia in the quarterfinals. The White Star comfortably defeated the Pasy team and advanced to the semifinals, where Zagłębie Sosnowiec awaited. The Śląsk team also proved unable to defeat the fast-paced Kraków team, who reached the grand finale of the competition. The other team to reach this stage was Banik Ostrava from the Czech Republic. Coach Mariusz Sobala's team demonstrated their excellent form and defeated their foreign peers. The tournament final was officiated by international and PKO BP Ekstraklasa referee Tomasz Musiał, son of Adam Musiał, and the winner was the Wisła legend's grandson, Oliwier Musiał. Andrzej Iwan's family, including his son Bartosz, were also present at the event.
"From my perspective, I can say that the tournament was of a really good standard. We had the opportunity to compete against strong teams playing in our age group. We've faced these teams in the past, we know their level and we know they can be really dangerous. We recently took first place in the White Star Cup tournament, and now we're winning here, so we're happy with another victory. We did very well. We reacted appropriately to that one defeat and then managed to win every match. Moments like these bring us great satisfaction. I'm also pleased that my players are competing with great enthusiasm for their place in the squad, and in this memorial, it was clear that both of our six-man teams were on equal footing," said U-10 coach Mariusz Sobala.
Wisła Kraków U-10: Mikołaj Kiciński, Vladyslav Moroz, Filip Kaczor, Dominik Płaczek, Oliwier Musiał, Jakub Łudzik, Antoni Grzymek, Kamil Mrozowski, Norbert Wadas, Maciej Ryszka, Oliwier Witek, Maksymilian Myciński, Jakub Durak
U-15: Goalless draw with Korona
The U-15 team, led by coach Krystian Żakowicz, traveled to Kielce to face Industria Korona Kielce in the third round of the Central Junior League spring round. At the end of the match, both teams had to settle for a single point, drawing goalless.
The Kraków team entered the clash with Kielce after last week's heavy home defeat to Stal Rzeszów. Today, Wisła Kraków tried to redeem themselves for last week's defeat, creating opportunities in front of the Kielce team's goal, but their effectiveness was lacking. The home team also continued to push forward, breaking up Wisła's attacks and attempting to create coherent attacks, but neither young player managed to find the back of the net. Ultimately, despite the efforts of both sides, the league clash between Wisła and Stal ended in a goalless draw.
The young Wisła players had to admit the superiority of their rivals in the last two matches, while the match against Kielce brought them their first important point in this round, as a result of which the Kraków team currently ranks 8th in the CLJ U-15 group D teams classification.

U-17: Final victory against Jagiellonia Białystok
The CLJ U-17 team hosted another league opponent on Sunday afternoon. Jagiellonia Białystok arrived at the ORLEN OIL Training Center in Myślenice, only to be defeated by Kraków's team. Coach Patryk Jałocha's men defeated their opponents 2-1, with goals coming from Jan Molenda and Nathan Lis, who converted a late penalty.
The visitors had a chance in the first minute of the match, trying to capitalize on a corner kick. The opponent jumped to cross, but his header sailed over the crossbar, which was guarded by Kacper Pisarek. The following minutes were uneventful for both sides. Attacks were unsuccessful, as the defenders performed solidly. Before the quarter-hour mark, Jan Molenda found the back of the net, receiving a pass at the sixteen-meter mark and unleashing a powerful, precise shot. Wisła's high-pressure attack forced their opponents into errors, and their defense had to cope with constant attacks from coach Jałocha's men. Mateusz Kania later had his chance, joining in the attack, receiving the ball on the right flank. The defender found space to shoot, but the ball narrowly went over the frame. The opponents responded with good play outside the Wisła penalty area and fired a shot that proved harmless. At the end of the first half of the match, Maksym Tsymbaliuk tried his luck with a free kick, but unfortunately to no avail.
Full points in the last minutes
After the break, the irritated opponents began to fight back. They created favorable opportunities, playing the ball into the Kraków penalty area in a positional attack. Jagiellonia's attacks became increasingly dangerous, requiring Wisła's defense to be constantly on alert. A little later, Wisła regained control, exchanging blows with the visiting team in a dynamic situation. Nathan Lis and Szymon Kawała, among others, had chances to take the lead, but the ball either ended up in the goalkeeper's hands or refused to find the back of the net. With about fifteen minutes remaining, the opponents were awarded a corner kick, which they made good use of. The ball was extended to one of their opponents, who beat Pisarek from close range. However, Wisła didn't give up, instead intensifying their offensive attacks even further. Molenda and Maciej Szmydt tried their luck, but unfortunately, they were unsuccessful. In the final minutes of the match, Lis, who had been brought on earlier, received the ball on the right flank and drove it into the penalty area. The opponent illegally stopped our player, and the referee awarded a penalty. The injured player stepped up to the plate and fired a confident shot, giving the White Star the victory.
Coach Patryk Jałocha's side have 37 points and are currently in sixth place in the table. The next challenge for the young Wisła players will be an away match against SSM Wisła Płock, scheduled for this coming Saturday.

The opening minutes of the match were dominated by Korona, who put pressure on their opponents from the outset, comfortably occupying their half. As time went on, the Kraków team began to seize the initiative, making some good moves first, and in the 13th minute, Maciej Jania perfectly headed in a cross from a corner, opening the scoring. The opposition remained on their toes and, in the 22nd minute, they won the ball and successfully slotted it into the net. Seconds later, the home side again gave the visitors a run for their money – this time, Karol Dziedzic scored from around 16 meters out. Korona's response wasn't long in coming – in the 26th minute, one of their players successfully headed in a corner, securing an equalizer for the Kielce team. The teams continued to strive for control and create consistent attacks, and the pace of the game remained high. Karol Dziedzic attempted a long-range shot on goal, and moments later, Mateusz Stanek, following a pass from Yehor Khromykh, fired home, but both attempts were off target. Korona's players had the final say in the first half, winning another set piece, and one of their players headed the ball into the net. Just before the end of the first half, Maciej Jania fouled an opponent, earning him a second yellow card, forcing Wisła to play with a shorthanded squad for the remainder of the match.
Blow for blow
After the break, the teams returned to the fray, fighting fiercely to gain possession and capitalize on scoring opportunities. In the 53rd minute, Kraków regained control, equalizing thanks to a stunning shot by Karol Dziedzic. The visitors were driven by a desire to put the hosts on the back foot, and after a few minutes, a player burst into the home penalty area, found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and then found the back of the net without any major problems. In the second half, both the home and away sides were fully motivated to create good chances, but scoring opportunities were somewhat scarcer. Radosław Wójcicki capped the victory in stoppage time with a header just under the crossbar.

Wisła II: Inaugural victory against Watra
The White Star reserve team faced Watra Białka Tatrzańska at home in their first match of the spring round of the JAKO IV League. Ultimately, the Kraków team claimed victory and a perfect record, defeating their opponents 2-1 thanks to two well-taken goals from Wiktor Szywacz.
The teams approached the match motivated to quickly establish a lead and secure a crucial victory, which was evident from the opening moments. The Kraków team immediately began to execute their goals, striving for coherent attacks after the referee's whistle, with Marc Grau taking a shot on goal after one of them. However, the opening score was delayed. The home side finally achieved their goal in the 15th minute, when the referee awarded a penalty following a foul on Wiktor Szywacz, and moments later, he confidently beat the opposing goalkeeper, making use of the penalty. In the first half, both teams patiently attempted to dominate their opponents, but it was the Kraków team that looked the better side and remained dominant. Wiktor Szywacz and Filip Baniowski, attempting to convert Marc Grau's corner, had further chances to add to the score before halftime, but neither player was able to find the net. In the 35th minute, the home side took the lead again, courtesy of Jakub Niewiadomski, who sent a free kick over the wall, aiming to challenge the opposing goalkeeper, but the goalkeeper showed quick reflexes. The hosts didn't give up, and just before halftime, Mariusz Kutwa had another attempt. Following a pass from Jakub Złoch, he headed the ball to Wiktor Szywacz, but the player couldn't find the net, keeping the score unchanged at halftime.
Three points of the White Star
After the break, both teams had plenty of good chances, but once again it was the Kraków team that proved more effective. In the 53rd minute, Wiktor Szywacz intercepted the ball and slotted it into the net with a precise shot from just outside the penalty area, giving his team their second goal. The two-goal lead seemed to have calmed the Kraków team down too much, and their opponents began to capitalize on this, creating scoring opportunities. In the 62nd minute, they finally secured their goal with a goal. The goal further fueled the visitors, leaving the home side to fend off their attacks. The visitors managed to create several threats in front of the White Star's goal, but nothing came of it. As the match drew to a close, both teams became more nervous, but the home side nevertheless created at least two more good chances. In one of these, Karol Tokarczyk played a perfect pass to Kamil Kaczówka, who headed the ball into the penalty area, but lacked a powerful finish. In stoppage time, Karol Tokarczyk tried to threaten the opponents' goalkeeper with a long-range shot, but this time the opponents' goalkeeper parried the shot.
