An exciting weekend in the CLJ. Wisła players fight for points
The upcoming weekend will be filled with more excitement in the Central Junior League. The U-19 team will be aiming for their fifth consecutive victory when they host Stal Rzeszów in Myślenice. The U-17 team will face Korona Kielce on the road, and Wisła's youngest team at this level will play DAP Dębica at the AWF stadium.
U-19
A successful start to the season has really whetted the appetite of Wisła's oldest team, competing in the Central Junior League. After their opening defeat to Jagiellonia Białystok, the U-19 team has now secured four consecutive victories: against Cracovia (4-1), Pogoń Szczecin (5-0), Warta Poznań (2-0), and Lechia Gdańsk, whom they thrashed away 5-1 last weekend. This puts coach Karol Nędza's side in second place with 12 points, one point behind leaders Escola Varsovia.
Now the White Star's senior juniors will face Stal Rzeszów, which after five series of games is in fifth place with nine points (two wins and three draws).
The referee's first whistle on Saturday in Myślenice will sound precisely at 12:00.
U-17
The U-17s will be looking to break their losing streak on Saturday afternoon. Coach Patryk Jałocha's players suffered defeats against SSM Wisła Płock (2-5) and AKS SMS Łódź (1-4) in their last two league matches.
In the sixth round, Wisła will face Korona Kielce away, who have collected 10 points in five rounds and are currently in sixth place. Wisła are in 11th place with four points.
The meeting in Nowiny is scheduled to begin at 12:30.
U-15
On Saturday, the U-15 team will also fight for more points. The White Star will host DAP Dębica at the AWF stadium, a team that has failed to find a winner in the three rounds so far and is currently at the top of the league table with a full set of points, along with Cracovia and Korona Kielce.
Wisła have collected four points from three matches. After their opening 1-0 triumph over BKS Biłgoraj, Dawid Ślusarczyk's side then lost 2-0 to Korona, and last weekend they shared the points with Puszcza Niepołomice, drawing 2-2.
The referee's first whistle at the AWF facility on Jana Pawła II Avenue will sound at 12:30 p.m.
