Bąk: We have to play consistently until the final whistle
Wisła Kraków's second-place team added another set of points on Saturday! The Kraków team defeated Pogoń-Sokół Lubaczów 6-4 in impressive fashion, with the hosts' coach, Bartosz Bąk, giving the team a stellar performance.
After a difficult start to their third-division campaign, Wisła finally found their winning footing and, for the second time this season, walked off the pitch in high spirits after a victory. In their match against Pogoń-Sokół Lubaczów, the Kraków team demonstrated great determination and strong attacking form, scoring six goals, but they were plagued by defensive errors, forcing Patryk Letkiewicz to pick the ball out of the net four times. As the coach notes, Wisła's victory in this match is fully deserved, but in subsequent matches, the players must remain vigilant until the very end.
"Our first half performance was very good in terms of building the game. However, we lacked a bit of effectiveness, as we created a number of chances that we could have converted and gone into halftime with a bigger lead. The opponents created chances mainly from set pieces in this part of the match, from which they too easily created scoring opportunities. Kudos to my team for starting the second half, where we entered the game very boldly, allowing us to quickly score a goal for 2-0, and then more. In the final minutes, we lacked that consistency and conceded two completely unnecessary goals when we were leading 6-2. Towards the end, we didn't have enough possession, which meant we had to work harder defensively. The last two goals were a consequence of giving our opponents too much freedom. The players did a very good job in this match, and the last two minutes of lapses in concentration won't tarnish that image. In summary, our victory is fully deserved, but we have to play consistently until the final whistle."
