Wisła managed to break their losing streak and gain three valuable points, beating Wisła Skawina 5-0 on home soil.
Wisła managed to break their losing streak and earn three valuable points with a 5-0 home victory over Wisła Skawina. This was the White Star's first victory under the new coach, with Radosław Skała, Szymon Kawała, Marcin Bartoń, Maciej Kuziemka, and Arkadiusz Ziarko all scoring. The match wasn't without its share of upsets, with injuries to Bartosz Talar, Filip Baniowski, and Marcin Bartoń all retiring early.
The match began with a battle for possession, with both teams trying to impose their style of play. The opening minutes were more evenly matched, but as time went on, Wisła began to dominate. The hosts managed to breach their opponents' defense as early as the 13th minute. Following a corner kick taken by Maksym Tsymbaliuk, Karol Tokarczyk headed the ball in, hitting the post. Luck favored Wisła in this situation, as one of the Wisła defenders failed to clear the ball effectively, and Radosław Skała then found the net from close range, slotting the ball into the net from close range to open the scoring. After taking the lead, the home side continued to push for more goals, displaying great determination and attacking quality. Wisła Skawina, on the other hand, focused primarily on preventing the hosts from playing possession, but failed to create any significant threat to their goal. In the 40th minute, Szymon Kawała delivered a brilliant save. He received a long pass from Filip Gryglak, won a running duel with two defenders, and found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper. He coolly slotted the ball into the net, increasing the score to 2-0. Wisła were able to celebrate their third goal before the break. In stoppage time (45+1'), Marcin Bartoń was fouled in the penalty area, prompting the referee to flag him down. The injured player stepped up to the ball and confidently converted the set piece, striking the ball into the bottom right corner.
The hosts' performance concert
After the break, Wisła continued their momentum and made a brilliant start to the second half. In the 47th minute, Maciej Kuziemka, after a brilliant pass from Kamil Kaczówka, found himself in a favorable position in the penalty area. Kuziemka easily beat the Wisła goalkeeper, extending their lead. The hosts gave their opponents no respite and showed no signs of leniency. In the 54th minute, Arkadiusz Ziarko completed the formality by scoring his fifth goal. Following a corner kick from Maksym Tsymbaliuk, the Wisła defender cleared the ball from outside the box, but it fell to Ziarko. The player struck with precision from range, hitting the near post and making it 5-0. The match was almost over, but the visitors were forced to accept another blow – in the 60th minute, Krystian Bociek received a second yellow card, and consequently a red card, which diminished the visitors' chances of any kind of turnaround. Wisła calmly pursued their goals for the remainder of the match, while their opponents had already lost hope of improving their situation.
Despite their victory, Wisła had to deal with serious complications during the match. Bartosz Talar suffered a serious knee injury early in the match, Filip Baniowski also left the field shortly afterward due to the injury, and Marcin Bartoń, who also complained of discomfort at the end of the first half, was ruled out for the second half.
