One-point trip: #KOTWIS 1:1
After concluding their European campaign, Wisła traveled to Kołobrzeg for a match against Kotwica. There, the White Star's ineffectiveness took over, managing only a 1-1 draw.
Wisła went into the match in Kołobrzeg with three changes from the cup clash. Anton Chichkhan, James Igbekeme, and Piotr Starzyński all made the starting eleven.
The second minute brought Wisła's first dangerous attack, which resulted in a shot. Kiss's shot found the back of the net, but the referee blew for offside. The score remained 0-0. In the following minutes, the Kraków team looked for ways to outwit the Kołobrzeg defense, but the ball was held by the defenders. In the seventh minute, after a well-executed move, Rodado laid the ball out for Mikulec, but he missed.
Despite Wisła's dominance, the hosts took the lead, opening the scoring in the 14th minute thanks to Michał Kozajda's goal. Moments later, things became dangerous again in front of the White Star's goal when Chichkhan intercepted the ball. The R22 team came close a dozen or so seconds later, but a two-man effort by Jaroch and Igbekeme proved unsuccessful. Wisła's attacks continued, but the finishing touch was still lacking.
In the 24th minute, a Kotwica player attempted a long-range shot, but the ball sailed wide of the post. One hundred and twenty seconds later, it should have been 1-1, but Rodado's shot, just before the line, was intercepted by the Kołobrzeg goalkeeper. Wisła attacked, but the ball refused to go in. This was also the case with the next move, which Starzyński finished off. Moments later, Duarte fired a shot over the bar.
The final quarter of the first half saw the visitors press on. Clearly, luck wasn't on Wisła's side, as they couldn't find the back of the net, even from close range.
There were two changes to Wisła's lineup during the break. Biedrzycki and Sukiennicki replaced Łasicki and Kiss.
The Małopolska capital began the second half with a shot from Rodado outside the penalty area. Igbekeme's attempt from outside the penalty area also sailed over the crossbar. The following minutes were dominated by the Kraków side. In the 64th minute, the ball reached Zwoliński, but he couldn't get a clean shot. Kotwica's chances in the penalty area multiplied, but still to no avail.
Despite the Krakow attack, the finishing touch was still lacking. In the 75th minute, the hosts counterattacked, but Biedrzycki saved in time. Time was running out, but Wisła finally got their way. In the 84th minute, a solo effort was finished off by none other than Angel Rodado. No further goals were scored for the rest of the match, although the White Star had plenty of chances.
