Bąk: We managed to draw conclusions
The second-placed White Star team finally overcame a difficult period and, after a winless run, defeated Unia Tarnów 4-0 away. Wisła coach Bartosz Bąk summed up the match for his players.
The Krakow team has had a difficult start to their third-division campaign, but after five winless matches, they can finally celebrate their three points. According to the coach, the players managed to learn from previous setbacks and implement them on the pitch, which resulted in a much-needed victory.
"We were leading 2-0 at halftime, and as you can see, we managed to learn from the match against Świdniczanka, where we won 3-0 and ended in a draw. Importantly, in the second half of today's match, we showed ourselves to be an experienced team, considering what we had experienced in our previous matches. A good example is the aforementioned match in Świdnik, where we lost our focus and allowed the victory to be taken away from us. Today was completely different. The players remained alert until the very end and behaved appropriately to secure the three points, and even sealed them with two more goals after the break."
Continuing his statement, the coach also commented on the attitude of his players.
"We believed that our hard work would bring us a breakthrough after a difficult start. This happened today, and this fact will certainly give us even more confidence. I would like to thank my players for their attitude and fight in today's match. Our team consists of young, ambitious guys who put in a lot of work in training, and this victory is a culmination of that. Now we want to focus on continuing our efforts to score even more goals in future matches and regularly add all three points. I know we are capable of that."
The support of the fans proved invaluable on the way to victory. The White Star coach thanked them for their support.
"I also want to thank the fans gathered at the Unia Tarnów stadium. We, as reserves, have never experienced such support from the stands. I saw that the support built our team during this demanding match, when we struggled with our opponents, but also with difficult weather conditions. We really appreciate what the fans did for us. They were our twelfth player today."
