U-19: won the friendly against Ruch Chorzów
Wisła Kraków U-19s have played another friendly match in preparation for the new Central Junior League season. Karol Nędza's men defeated their peers from Ruch Chorzów 3-1, with Kajetan Świętochowski (who scored twice) and Jakub Nowiński sharing the spoils.
Saturday's friendly against Ruch Chorzów was the third test in the preparation period for the U-19 team after matches against Slovakia's Tatran Presov and fourth-division AKS SMS Łódź.
Wisła once again proved superior, and they proved their superiority after the break. Coach Karol Nędza's men ultimately triumphed 3-1. Kajetan Świętochowski scored twice, and Jakub Nowiński scored once.
- This time we played a full-time match. "I think it was a valuable test, although I don't think it was of the highest standard. The match itself certainly didn't reflect the level at which we will compete in the Central Junior League. We are aware of this and realize that we need to raise our intensity levels to fight for league points. We have two weeks of work left to reach a level of intensity appropriate for the U-19 Central Junior League," concluded coach Karol Nędza.
Next Sunday, Wisła's oldest team competing in the CLJ will face another test. This time, their opponent will be the Czech team Banik Ostrava.
