Munyaradzi Mwakanya joins Wisła Kraków!
The White Star's second team is strengthening its ranks! Striker Munyaradzi Mwakanya is joining Reymont on a permanent transfer from Pogoń Kraków. The player's contract runs until June 30, 2025, with the option to extend it for another season.
Munyaradzi Mwakanya, also known as "Munya," was born in Zimbabwe in 2003. A few years ago, he moved to Kraków, where he began his footballing journey in Poland. He made his first steps in senior football at Pogoń Kraków, playing in the regional league, where he quickly distinguished himself with his technical skills and efficiency.
This season, "Munya" played 15 matches in the V League, scoring 9 goals. His good form wasn't limited to league play, however. He made four appearances in the Polish Cup organized by the Małopolska Football Association, scoring 5 goals. The semifinal of that competition proved to be his breakthrough, where he put in a strong performance against Wisła Kraków's reserves, catching the eye of the White Star's coaching staff.
Since February 10th, the player has been undergoing trials at Wisła Kraków. During his preparations, he was given the opportunity to play in friendly matches, where he demonstrated his skills, determination, and potential for further development.
