Maksym Tsymbaliuk called up to the Ukrainian U-17 national team!

From the Wisła Kraków Football Academy to the Ukrainian national team! Maksym Tsymbaliuk, a player with the U-17 team playing in the Central Junior League, has been called up to the Ukrainian U-17 squad. The White Star player will participate in a training camp in Cyprus from April 8-12.

Maksym Tsymbaliuk joined the Wisła Academy in 2022. He initially honed his football skills in the U-15 team and then joined the U-17 team competing in the Central Junior League. Strong performances in the team led by coach Patryk Jałocha also earned Tsymbaliuk a chance to play in the oldest team at the CLJ level – the U-19s. This season, he has already made seven appearances for the U-19s and seven for the U-17s, scoring two goals so far.
From the beginning of his adventure with the Wisła academy, the Ukrainian also attended the club's School of Sports Championship, and currently combines playing football with studying at the Małopolska School of Hospitality in Myślenice.
The progress made by the nearly 17-year-old midfielder has been noticed by the coaching staff of the Ukrainian U-17 national team. The White Star player has been called up for a training camp scheduled for April 8-12 in Cyprus. During the training camp, the Ukrainian team will also play a friendly tournament.
"Being called up to the national team is a great source of pride for me. It will be my first opportunity to showcase my skills for the national team. It's a huge challenge and a childhood dream come true. I'm very happy about it and I can't wait. My team managed to qualify for the European Under-17 Championship, which will be held in Cyprus, and I really hope that if they perform well, I'll be able to play there," said Maksym Tsymbaliuk.

"Maksym joined our U-15 team, and from the very beginning, it was clear he was serious about training and had enormous potential. We wondered if he would be able to handle everything, as he came to Poland without his parents and didn't speak our language. However, he adapted quickly to his new environment and quickly learned Polish, which allowed him to build relationships with his teammates in the locker room. He's made tremendous progress, and I must admit, I'm very happy with both the contract he signed and the call-up he received. He's been in good hands; we've invested a lot in him, and it's great that he's repaid us in this way," emphasized Krzysztof Kołaczyk, director of the Wisła Kraków Football Academy.
