Poland's youth teams with a Wisła accent
Poland's youth national teams have recently had the opportunity to compete on international stages, participating in prestigious friendly tournaments and European Championship qualifiers. Among the players called up to the national team were representatives of the Wisła Kraków Football Academy, who contributed to the Polish national team's efforts. How did the young players and their coaches fare? Below is a detailed summary of their performances.
Poland U-20
The Polish U-20 national team finished fifth in the international Elite League tournament. In their final match, the Polish national team faced their peers from the Czech Republic, suffering a 1-2 defeat. Miłosz Brzozowski scored the only goal for the Polish team, but unfortunately, a missed penalty by Kacper Śmiglewski denied the Polish team a chance for a better result.
Among the players who played important roles in the match were Wisła Kraków representatives. Mariusz Kutwa played the full 90 minutes, demonstrating great commitment and solid defensive play. Kacper Duda, on the other hand, played until the 62nd minute before being replaced by Wojciechowski.

The Polish U-19 national team participated in the European Championship qualifying tournament in Tbilisi. After playing three matches, the Poles finished the competition with two wins and one loss, which unfortunately prevented them from advancing to the next stage of the competition.
The first match of the tournament was a resounding success – the Polish national team comfortably defeated Georgia 3-0, demonstrating excellent organization and attacking prowess. However, in their next match, they faced Montenegro, who proved to be a demanding opponent. Despite their ambitious performance, the Poles lost 0-1, significantly complicating their standings. The final match against Slovakia ended in a 2-0 victory for Poland, but with Montenegro simultaneously triumphing over Georgia, it was the Montenegrins who secured their place in the tournament.
Jakub Stępak, a player from the Wisła Kraków Football Academy, unfortunately did not have the opportunity to showcase his skills on the pitch and spent the entire match on the bench.
Poland U-19 - Slovakia U-19 2:0

Poland U-18
The Polish U18 national team participated in a friendly tournament in Spain, where they faced Sweden, Scotland, and Wales. The tournament was full of exciting matches and showcased the potential of the Polish team.
The Polish national team kicked off the competition with a resounding victory over Scotland, thrashing their opponents 4-1. In the second match, the Poles faced a well-organized Welsh defense and unfortunately lost 0-1. The final match against Sweden ended in a 2-2 draw.
The U-18 national team's coaching staff included Adrian Filipek, a coach associated with the Wisła Kraków Football Academy, who served as an assistant coach. Filip Baniowski was also among the players called up, but he did not appear in the match against Sweden.
