Konrad Czajkowski joins the Wisła Kraków Football Academy
Konrad Czajkowski will be one of the new faces in the coaching staff of the Wisła Kraków Football Academy in the upcoming season. The 33-year-old coach spent the last five years at the BVB Łukasz Piszczek Academy, where he served as coordinator and coach. At the Wisła Academy, he will be responsible for managing the U10 team, as well as coordinating the U9–U7 training phase and the Wisła Junior (U6–U4) project.
Konrad Czajkowski has extensive experience in both coaching and managing the entire training process. The 33-year-old has spent the last five years working at the BVB Łukasz Piszczek Academy, where he served as Academy Coordinator, coach, and event organizer.
Czajkowski will join the Wisła Kraków Football Academy starting next season, where he will be responsible for managing the U10 team and coordinating the U9-U7 training phase. His responsibilities will also include developing the Wisła Junior (U6-U4) project, both in terms of the classes themselves (training sessions will take place at the complex at 26 Piastowska Street) and searching for new locations (in Krakow and throughout the Małopolska Voivodeship) where training sessions aimed at preschoolers can be held.
"I won't deny that the offer of the Wisła Kraków Football Academy was very interesting. After five years at the BVB Academy, I felt a desire for a change and further personal development. I will be able to develop both coaching and organizationally. The size and brand of Wisła Kraków were also important. I come from a region where this club plays a significant role. Furthermore, I will have the pleasure of working with respected professionals in their field, which will only enable me to continue my development," emphasizes Konrad Czajkowski.
The 33-year-old coach admits that he will place great emphasis on developing the Wisła Junior project, which holds immense potential. For the youngest players, this is often their first step and first contact with the sport.
"We want to build awareness among the youngest players that Wisła is much more than just a football club. It's a lifestyle and, in fact, their first opportunity to represent Wisła and get the chance to train in a professional academy. We want to attract as many kids as possible to our sessions. We have a very young and ambitious coaching staff who want to pass on their values during every session. We want to offer the kids a varied program. I can reveal that we are planning pre-match training sessions, which will take place 1.5 hours before the first team's match at the TS stadium. We also have various ideas that will include activities in the family stand. We will announce everything in due time," emphasizes Czajkowski.

"Adding Konrad to our Academy strengthens our structure, as we'd like to extend his extensive experience in projects like Grassroots to Kraków and the surrounding area. Besides his extensive knowledge and coaching skills, we're joined by someone who has managed the Academy to high standards. Activating our youngest players is crucial for us, as is creating engaging activities that will attract as many young footballers as possible to the Piastowska complex. I also hope he'll implement at least half of the ideas, such as matchday activities for the first team, because statistics show that thousands of children under 12 attend Wisła Kraków matches," adds Piotr Truchlewski, Operations Manager of the Wisła Kraków Football Academy.
Coach, welcome to the Wisła family!
