Second step done: #KFLWIS 1:2
It's done! The White Star team sealed their advancement to the second round of the Europa League qualifying round in Podujevo, defeating KF Llapi 2-1. Coach Kazimierz Moskal's men proved superior to their opponents on aggregate, winning 4-1.
Both teams started the match with intensity, eager to score quickly. Wisła tried to capitalize on Baena's speed, but their opponents remained vigilant. Rodado also challenged the defense up front, but was also effectively held. In the sixth minute, a KF Llapi player went down in the penalty area, but no foul was called.
One hundred and twenty seconds later, Sukiennicki came close to scoring, but the score remained 0-0. Moments later, a home player fell again in the White Star's penalty area, but the referee unscrupulously showed him a yellow card for trying to force a penalty. In the 16th minute, the ball was in the Kosovo goal, but the referee ruled it offside.
That wasn't the end of Wisła's opportunities. Mikulec joined the attack brilliantly, driving down the left flank and threatening the opponent's goal with a well-placed shot. Podujevo quickly counterattacked, but Chichkan cleared the ball as it flew towards goal.
In the next phase of the match, the home side took more control, trying to beat the goalkeeper from distance from the right-foot two. Fortunately, they were unsuccessful. After a good move up front, Młyński took the lead and shot narrowly wide of the post.
Fifteen minutes before the end of the first half, the opponents won a series of set pieces, which the Kraków team managed to overcome. KF Llapi maintained their advantage in the final period of the first half, but in the 43rd minute, Młyński was forced down the wing and illegally stopped by his opponent as he was moving into position. This should have been a second yellow card for the opponent, but the referee didn't pull the card out of his pocket. Moments later, the referee called both teams to the locker room.
The second half began with the Kraków side taking the lead, with more activity in the opponent's half. Led by coach Moskal, the team pushed for the lead, and they did so in the 58th minute thanks to Angel Rodado's goal!
KF Llapi, however, refused to give up, searching for a shot. In the 71st minute, the Kosovo team found the back of the net, but the referee ruled it offside. In response, the Krakow team launched a counterattack towards the opponent's penalty area, but were blocked in the final stages.
Three minutes later, Tahiri equalized, and the game resumed in the final quarter. This meant both sides were fighting for another goal. Wisła's Olivier Sukiennicki was prominent, being held up by an opponent just off the line.
After a good move, Kiakos pushed into position in the 88th minute but was caught offside. What hadn't worked out before, the Greek succeeded in the 91st minute, when he finished off a teammate's move and gave the White Star the lead.
The result remained unchanged until the end of the match, and Wisła Kraków qualified for the second round of the Europa League qualifying round, defeating KF Llapi 4-1 on aggregate.
