Wisła Kraków secured another league victory. This time, coach Mariusz Jop's side played a home game against Ruch Chorzów, comfortably winning 3-0. After the game, we spoke with our team's defender, Jakub Krzyżanowski. What did he say?

The first half of the match against Ruch Chorzów could have ended well for the young defender, but he failed to score in a prime scoring opportunity. "I still wonder how that didn't go in? From my perspective, the ball hit the post, I felt like I kicked it with my back heel, so it wasn't a completely clean play, but I have to forget about it and keep playing," he began, saying, "I'm still kicking myself because I haven't managed to score against Reymont yet, and I'm still waiting for it. I hope I can change that."

Jakub Krzyżanowski started for the White Star, but was substituted early in the second half, with Raoul Giger coming on. "My substitution was probably dictated by the yellow card. I don't think there's any point in risking a potential red card, especially since we were winning and just needed to confirm our good performance," he admitted.

Wisła Kraków comfortably defeated Ruch Chorzów, and a true fan celebration took place in the stands of the Municipal Stadium. "The atmosphere was fantastic! The fixtures looked fantastic, and while there were a few stoppages in the match, it's a football celebration. Wisła fans are friends with Ruch, and the interruptions caused by the events in the stands didn't bother us," said Krzyżanowski.

The White Star players have had quite a busy season, playing three matches in a short period. However, as our player admitted, "Every player was focused on recovery; we knew there was very little time between matches. All the substitutes who came on performed equally well and certainly didn't drop their level, so this also shows how strong our squad is."

We also asked the Wisła defender if he thought the match against Ruch could be compared to the other two matches played in recent days. "Every match is difficult in its own way. We had the upper hand in the first half, but there were also moments when Ruch dominated. In the second half, we were completely dominant. It's hard to say whether this match was the easiest or most difficult of the three played in such a short period, because they differed in many phases," he said, adding, "We also have the coaching staff's mandate that we constantly push forward and constantly score goals, which is why our style is so attacking."

Wisła Kraków's next league match isn't until October 20th, so it will be a bit more time for players to recover, though not all of them. "It's true that we're currently on a break from league play, which will certainly give the players a bit more time to fully recover. For my part, I can say that I'll probably have less of that rest due to my call-up to the national team, but I'm confident that when we return to the top league, our form will be good," he concluded.
