A page from the Wisła calendar: the anniversary of Wlastimil Hofman's birth
Saturday, April 26th, marks the 143rd anniversary of the birth of Wlastimil Hofman, who was born on April 27, 1881. He studied painting at the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts, and when he himself was already a renowned painter, he attended a Wisła match… and fell in love with the White Star. He became a dear friend of the players, supporting them at home and away matches, and his villa hosted Wisła's first championship celebration. The Sports Association named him an honorary member. Wlastimil Hofman died in 1970, leaving behind dozens of beautiful Wisła paintings.
