Jubilee Coat of Arms
The history of the New Jubilee Coat of Arms for the 120th anniversary of the club.
History written in a sign
The process of creating the jubilee coat of arms commemorating the 120th anniversary of Wisła Kraków wasn't an aesthetic project in the traditional sense. It was an identity-building process —an attempt to encapsulate 120 years of history in a symbol that simultaneously remembers the past, organizes the present, and opens up a space for the future.
The starting point was the symbolism that has shaped the Vistula's DNA for decades. Each element of the symbol was identified, dissected, and reintegrated into a new system of meanings.
The crown and the diamond – a sign of continuity and ambition
The central motif is a diamond in a crown . It's not just a symbol of the anniversary, but a metaphor for the club, honed over decades by generations of players, fans, and officials. The crown—subtle, open, and drawn with a light line—does not dominate the crest but protects its essence . Above it, the star remains a guardian of values: ambition, aspiration, and the memory of the highest sporting moments.
The Royal River and the Laurel Wreath
The lower part of the coat of arms is closed with a laurel wreath , which emphasizes victory and honor, but without pathos – more as a record of the journey than its end.
The upper part of the crest resembles a wave. This is a conscious reference to the Vistula River, the royal river from which the club takes its name and identity.

Back to the Sources – White Star 1911
One of the key moments of the project was a dialogue with the first coat of arms from 1911. The white star on a red background returns in almost its original proportions and geometry. This is not a reconstruction, but a reinterpretation – demonstrating that the foundations of the Vistula remain unchanged, even as its visual language evolves.
The comparison of the 1911 crest and the anniversary version from 2026 clearly shows one idea: it is still the same club , only enriched by the experience of 120 years of history.

Geometry and proportions – order instead of decoration
The shield of the coat of arms was designed based on circles with symbolic proportions . Values such as 1.906 and 1.20 are not coincidental – they directly refer to the club's founding date and anniversary. It's an almost engineering approach: precise, disciplined, and devoid of unnecessary ornamentation.
This geometric order emphasizes that Wisła is not only about emotion, but also about structure, consistency and long-term thinking .

The anniversary coat of arms – a sign of the times, not the season
The final 120th anniversary crest doesn't attempt to "scream" the anniversary. The number 120 was incorporated subtly – as a natural culmination of the composition, rather than a dominant message. This ensures the emblem remains timeless and can function both in the context of the celebration and the club's everyday identity.
Summary
This coat of arms doesn't tell a single story. It condenses one hundred and twenty of them . It's a tribute to the past, a calm manifestation of the present, and a conscious foundation for Wisła Kraków's future.
It's a symbol that, like a club, doesn't have to prove anything . It's enough that it exists.
