#CzasNaBelek: Two goals for Wisła in the second friendly
For Saturday, January 27th, the coaching staff scheduled Wisła Kraków's second friendly match against Kazakhstan's FK Arytrau. Despite the Kraków side's significant advantage, the match ended in a narrow two-goal victory for Albert Rudé's men.
From the opening minutes, Wisła took the initiative, overwhelming their opponents. In the second minute, Tokarczyk passed the ball to Goku, who extended the ball to the side, where Carbo joined in, but made a slight mistake. The opponents attempted to respond with a pass, but were caught offside.
The eighth minute brought the Kraków side a goal. He delivered a well-placed pass to Goku Baena, who slotted the ball into the net with a confident shot. One hundred and twenty seconds later, the White Star allowed their opponents to get into their penalty area, but Raton intercepted the ball. Wisła's lead didn't change the course of the game. Coach Albert Rude's players sought to increase their lead, playing the ball alternately up the wing and through the midfield.
The next threat, however, came from the opposition, when in the 24th minute, the opponents danced in front of the 16, but Uryga cleared the ball. The final period of the first half was mainly a battle in the midfield. No one seemed to be giving up, and after one of the fouls, Goku suffered a concussion, first treated by the club's medical staff, and then ultimately left the field.
One more after the break
The start of the second half was similar to what had been seen before the break. In the 50th minute, Olejarek put the ball into the net, but the referee blew for offside. Wisła's threat grew, but after a series of corner kicks, the ball went wide. The R22 players continued to push, creating further opportunities in front of goal – and they were close. Łasicki and Jaroch, for example, had their chances.
As the game progressed, the Kazakhs' fierce play became even more intense, resulting in more yellow cards. Wisła came close to scoring a second goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar. Moments later, Łasicki found the ball in the penalty area but shot wide.
The final half-hour saw constant attacks from the White Star, after which the ball refused to find the back of the net despite numerous attempts from Rodado and Łasicki, among others. Wisła's commitment continued. First, in the 80th minute, Krzyżanowski was illegally stopped in the penalty area by an opponent, but the referee didn't award a penalty, and moments later, he ruled the ball offside after it bounced off Rodado and into the net. Wisła didn't achieve their goal until the 90th minute, when Rodado made it 2-0, capitalizing on a brilliant cross between Krzyżanowski and Gogół.
