Boiko: Breakthrough is near
Danylo Boiko joined the White Star's reserve team ahead of the start of the Betclic 3rd League season, quickly becoming a key member of the team. Coach Bartosz Bąk's new player spoke about his first few weeks at Reymont, the organization of his work, and the atmosphere within the team.
Just before the current season, the player transferred to Reymont from another Kraków club, Garbarnia Kraków. The young player gained experience there, playing in the third division, which he is currently trying to capitalize on with the White Star's reserves. He claims he has settled in very well with coach Bartosz Bąk's team.
"I feel very good in the team. The players welcomed me very well from the start, for which I am grateful. The atmosphere in the locker room is also positive, which helps me settle in quickly."
Danylo also revealed what the reserve team's organisation looks like from his perspective, and pointed out some elements that surprised me.
"The organization of teamwork remains at a very high level. Everything here runs very professionally. What surprised me? I think it was the detailed tactical analysis, which receives a lot of attention."
After four matches in the Betclic 3rd League, the Kraków team is still waiting for a break in their losing streak and their first victory. Despite the unfavorable situation, the White Star defender remains confident that the stalemate will be broken soon.
"We create a lot of chances during matches, but ultimately we lack a bit of luck and effectiveness. As you can see, the Third League is unforgiving. We haven't managed to win yet, but I'm confident that we're very close to breaking through."
Last week, the team led by coach Bartosz Bąk had two matches to play, losing to Korona Kielce and Chełmianka reserves. It was a busy time for Bartosz Bąk's players, but as the young defender emphasizes, the team was well-prepared for the challenge.
"Playing several matches in a short period of time is obviously a big challenge, but we are physically prepared for such demands. We manage our recovery well, so we are ready for this kind of match rhythm."
