Wisła Kraków Amp Futbol wins the Champions League!
Wisła's Amp Futbol team secured a historic Champions League victory. After two previous unsuccessful finals, the team claimed the highest possible trophy this time, defeating the Spanish champions, Flamencos Amputados CD, 2-1.
This year's Champions League amp football tournament took place in Sassuolo, Italy. Wisła's team was unrivaled in the group stage. Wisła first defeated Turkey's Sahinbey Belediye 3-0, then thrashed England's Everton 8-0. At the end of the group stage, they defeated Cork City FC 3-1. Their perfect record qualified them for the semifinals, where they faced Italian side Vicenza Calcio Amputati. The Krakow team left no doubt about their opponents, defeating them convincingly 4-1, securing their place in their third consecutive Champions League final.
Wisła took the lead in the 13th minute with a goal from captain Przemysław Świercz. The Spaniards followed suit, equalizing the score in the second half. However, two minutes later, David Mendes scored the winning goal, making the score 2-1 and securing the victory for the Polish team!
The Champions League victory was a credit to the entire team, consisting of goalkeepers Igor Woźniak and Mateusz Kowalczyk, and outfield players Tomasz Pytlowski, Olaf Tokarski, Kamil Rosiek, Przemysław Świercz, Kamil Grygiel, Dawid Kaczmarek, Jakub Kożuch, Harry Ash, David Mendes, Krystian Kapłon, and Matthew Dean. The team is supported by a coaching staff: coach Bogdan Kapłon, goalkeeping coach Marek Zadębski, physiotherapist Tomasz Góralik, and manager Dariusz Szlachta. Krystian Kapłon displayed excellent scoring form throughout the tournament, scoring seven goals, while David Mendes and Kamil Grygiel each found the net four times. Jakub Kożuch also made a significant contribution, scoring three goals, including the one that secured the team's qualification for the final.
By winning the Champions League, Wisła Kraków has made history, not only for our club but also for all of Polish Amp Football. Congratulations!
