Wisła II: A high victory against Alit Ożarów

On Saturday afternoon, the White Star's second team played their second friendly match, testing their mettle against Alitu Ożarów. The home team put in a strong performance, ultimately defeating the visitors 6-0 thanks to goals from Dominik Sarga and Wiktor Szywacz, and two goals from Maciej Kuziemka and Diego Deisadze.

After last week's friendly defeat to MSK Žilina, this time coach Bartosz Bąk's men found an effective way to take control of the match and outplay the opposing team. From the outset, the home side pressed their opponents, confining the Ożarów team in their own half, and quickly began firing shots towards their goal, often forcing goalkeeper Alitu to intervene. The Reymont team's concentrated attacks resulted in several dangerous chances for the visitors, and in the 25th minute, after a mix-up in the penalty area, Dominik Sarga found the back of the net. The next goal wasn't long in coming, as just a few dozen seconds later, Wisła took a two-goal lead thanks to Wiktor Szywacz's shot. Maciej Kuziemka also showed his skill before the break, cementing the home side's strong performance in the first half.

Another three hits

After the break, the opponents tried to fight back, but the White Star reserves remained dominant. In the 54th minute, Karol Sałamaj created a good chance with a volley, but the ball hit the crossbar. The Kraków team consistently built on consistent play, which resulted in a well-placed shot from the trialist Diego Deisadze in the 58th minute. He soon scored again when Bartłomiej Sowa's shot brushed the youngster's back and slotted straight into the net. Maciej Kuziemka, however, finished the game off with a 6-0 score ten minutes before the end of regulation time.

"I'm pleased that our victory was the result of good attacking play. During the briefing, we agreed that we wanted to develop a comfortable level of possession. After the match against MSK Žilina, where we spent more time defending, we now wanted to regain control of the game, acquire fluidity, accuracy, and the right structure in the attacking phase, and we succeeded. Another advantage was the quick neutralization of opponents' attacks immediately after losing the ball. As I mentioned, I'm pleased that the team showed good form today, which allowed us to win this match," said reserve team coach Bartosz Bąk.
