Third time's a charm: Wisła Kraków - Polonia Warszawa 2:1
It was a frantic finish from Wisła! In stoppage time, the hosts secured a goal worth three points, courtesy of Angel Rodado. Wisła closed out the season with a 2-1 victory over Polonia.
From the start of the match, the Kraków team had the upper hand and created opportunities in front of the opponent's goal. Baena and Rodado had opportunities, but it wasn't until the 18th minute that the Polonia goalkeeper capitulated to Rodado's close-range shot.
The goal spurred on coach Jop's players, who continued to press their opponents. However, they went into the locker room with a one-goal lead, with the Warsaw team having no scoring opportunities.
The second half of the match began very quietly. The capital city players were the first to make their presence felt, with Szymon Kobusiński facing Broda alone, but the Wisła goalkeeper made a decisive save.
The White Star manager, looking for reinforcements, sent on substitutes. Despite this, the visitors equalized with a penalty kick contrived by Joseph Colley. Kobusiński made good on the opportunity, making it 1-1.
When it seemed that the match would end in a draw, Rodado excited the fans at R22 by securing the victory for his team in stoppage time.
