Bąk: We are optimistic about the future
Wisła Kraków's second team will soon begin its third-division campaign. The Kraków team has undergone intense weeks of preparation, as coach Bartosz Bąk explained.
After a remarkably successful season in the ASCO IV league, Wisła II Kraków secured a coveted promotion to the next division, and now the Kraków team faces new challenges in the third division. Coach Bąk's team is already feeling the heat of their rivals, but the atmosphere within the team is positive.
"During the last week of preparations, we were filled with positive emotions, but that's a completely natural phenomenon when competitive matches are approaching. Playing in the third division is a new experience for most of our players, and it brings many challenges. However, we are positive and optimistic about the future. Last season, we were aiming for promotion, so now we are ready to face all the difficulties and much more demanding opponents."
The Krakow team has been working tirelessly over the past few weeks to prepare for the league. As coach Bąk recalls, the preparation period wasn't easy, but the players demonstrated complete professionalism and commitment.
"The preparation period was unique. After the end of the fourth league season, we returned to work very quickly, so there wasn't much time for rest and recuperation. The squad also changed during this time. New players joined our ranks, and we had to say goodbye to some because they chose a different path. As for the preparations themselves, I'm satisfied with our work because I saw a team that was motivated. The players were focused and absorbed knowledge, and then implemented it on the pitch, so we looked better and better as a team in each friendly. Of course, the time for testing will come with the league games, but no one can take our work away from us, and one lost match doesn't mean anything is lost. I'm convinced that the results of the league training will come sooner or later."
For Wisła, competing in the third league will be a completely new experience. How is the team approaching the footballing challenges ahead?
"We realize we're facing a significant challenge. The level of teams and individual players playing in the third division is higher than in the fourth, but we must remember that last season was also a completely new experience for us, just like this season in the third division, and we coped brilliantly. We're an ambitious team, and both the players and coaching staff have their own goals, so we want to achieve the highest goals. We also understand the club we represent, so the bar is set very high. We want to play good football, win matches, and prepare players for the first team. All of this is a realistic goal, but we must be consistent in our actions."
