Wisła Kraków and ORLEN OIL are starting a new project
Wisła Kraków - one of the most successful brands in Poland, which has repeatedly emphasized the importance of the local community in the daily functioning of the club, and has been investing in the development of children and youth by running the Academy for years - is pleased to announce a new project: ORLEN OIL Wisła Kraków Talent Platform.
Together with the Club's Strategic Sponsor, ORLEN OIL, we are presenting a unique virtual space for boys and girls who want to fulfill their football dreams and play with a white star on their chest. The app – currently available online – will be available at talent.wislakrakow.com. We encourage you to register now and take advantage of the opportunities the platform offers.
Wisła Kraków's partnership with ORLEN OIL began on July 1, 2021. Since then, numerous joint initiatives have been undertaken to develop the Kraków club's youth players. These include international tournaments involving teams from numerous European countries, summer camps for children at the Henryk Reyman Stadium in Kraków, and Talent Day – a public event where each player could demonstrate their skills to the football academy coaches, with the hope of joining the youth teams of the 13-time Polish champions.
A new project by Wisła Kraków and ORLEN OIL aims to expand this area of activity, with a multifaceted impact on society. This innovative solution will bring together every athlete, both male and female, as well as adults such as coaches and teachers, in one place. This will give them access to unique content prepared by the club, regardless of their location, while also enabling Wisła Kraków to monitor their sporting progress.
The platform will feature dedicated training materials tailored to the various needs and circumstances of its audience. Teachers of grades 1-3, football coaches, and players alike will all find knowledge tailored to their needs. Fan proximity is also crucial for Wisła Kraków. The new platform aims to showcase the club's daily operations, behind-the-scenes work, and meet specialists in sports law and marketing. Active Talent Platform users will also be able to take on challenges set by the White Star players. Challenges such as "Podcinką jak Rodado" (Cut the Rope) and "Broń jak Broda" (Bronze the Brood) are already available on the platform. Prizes are provided for those who are most willing to take on the challenge. Communication with other partner clubs and emphasizing their importance in the football ecosystem are crucial. Research shows that many current Wisła Kraków youth team players began their football careers in much smaller centers, taking their first steps there, and only later – at various ages – came under the wing of the White Star. Wisła's goal is to create a place where coaches from partner clubs can exchange experiences and knowledge, and where players can showcase their sporting achievements. All this, in keeping with its guiding principle, is to fuel football talent.
"Sport plays a huge role in our society. It shapes character and teaches values such as perseverance, cooperation, and the pursuit of success. That's why ORLEN OIL proudly supports sports initiatives, including the ORLEN OIL Wisła Kraków Talent Platform. This virtual platform is a place where young boys and girls can fulfill their football dreams and develop. Our goal is to inspire and support talent to help them achieve future success," said Jerzy Podmokły, Member of the Management Board of ORLEN OIL.
"The creation of the Talent Platform is an important step for Wisła Kraków in the development of our Academy, as well as the club's entire training system, and highlights the direction the club is heading. Expanding our partnership with ORLEN OIL and the opportunity to develop more young footballers, in this case using modern remote training technologies, is the foundation of our operations. Our goal is to foster talent and identify those who will be able to wear the white star jersey and represent our country in the future. Together with our strategic sponsor, we have created a unique tool that will allow Wisła Kraków to reach footballers anywhere in the country, including beyond. Until now, the impact on youth education in schools, including the ability to contact first-team coaches and players, has been limited. Now we are creating such an opportunity for both coaches and young footballers. The platform will be enriched with new content, courses, and training sessions every week, becoming an excellent guide for self-development for parents, players, and coaches," concluded Jarosław Królewski, President of TS Wisła Kraków.
