Dejvi Bregu joins Wisła Kraków
Albanian midfielder Dejvi Bregu has joined Wisła Kraków. His contract runs until the end of June 2024.
Dejvi Bregu was born on October 24, 1995, in Vlorë. He spent most of his career playing for Albanian clubs. He began his senior career with FC Flamutari, and then represented KS Luftetari, KF Skenderbeu, and KF Teuta. The midfielder became a household name in his home country, first being hailed as the top talent in the Albanian Ekstraklasa, and then, years later, receiving the Ballon d'Or, awarded by the Albanian Football Association and journalists. He played a total of 187 matches for Abissnet Superiore, scoring 57 goals and providing 28 assists.
In July 2021, he moved to Turkey, joining Boluspor Kulubu, where he made 36 appearances and scored 16 goals. A year later, he joined another local club, Umraniyespor Kulubu. Bregu can play on the left wing, on the right, or as a number 10.
He has won the Albanian Championship with KF Teuta and the Albanian Cup with Flamurtari. He is also the top scorer in the Albanian league. He has also had the opportunity to showcase his talents on the international stage, having also played for the country's youth national team.
