Igor Łasicki leaves Wisła Kraków
Igor Łasicki's adventure with Wisła Kraków will come to an end at the end of 2025. The defender's expiring contract will not be extended.
Igor arrived at Wawel Castle in the summer of 2022, strengthening the White Star's defense after several years of playing for clubs such as Pogoń Szczecin and Napoli. From the outset, he distinguished himself with responsible play, well-organized defense, and a character that quickly endeared him to the fans.
During his time at Wisła, he played 72 official matches for the club and scored three goals. He was part of the team that won the Polish Cup in the 2023/2024 season, thus etching his place in the club's history books.
Łasicki often took to the pitch with the captain's armband, serving as a true leader of the team – both on the pitch and in the locker room. As captain, he took responsibility for results, didn't shy away from difficult conversations after defeats, and led by example with his hard work and commitment in training. His calmness, courage in play, and the way he motivated his teammates made him a natural role model for many younger players.
On behalf of the entire club, we would like to thank Igor for his attitude, professionalism and all the moments in which he defended the colors of Wisła Kraków with the white star on his chest.
Igor, thank you for these years at R22 – for your fight, responsibility, and Wisła's heart. We wish you much success in your new club and in your future career!
