SPORTS SOCIETY

The Wisła Sports Society was founded in May 1906 on the initiative of Tadeusz Łopuszański and students of the Second Real School in Kraków.

Wisła Kraków is a thirteen-time Polish football champion and, in fact, the last multi-disciplinary club in Poland to operate at a high level. Its players have achieved significant success in all disciplines – individual and team – both nationally and internationally.

The most successful section of the Sports Society is the women's basketball section, which currently competes in the first league. The White Star players have won the Polish championship twenty-five times. A legend of this section and a figure of great service to the club is Ludwik Miętta-Mikołajewicz, currently Honorary President of TS Wisła, former coach of the Kraków women's basketball team, and club captain for twenty-five years.
