History

The historic first women's football team, Wisła Kraków, was formed in September 2020. At that time, a recruitment drive was announced for girls aged 8 to 11, who formed a 15-person training group led by coach Bartłomiej Zelek. A year later, at the initiative of the then Supervisory Board of the Wisła Kraków SA Sports Association, a senior team was entered into the Małopolska V League. Andrzej Żądło, who served as coach in the first season, made significant contributions to building the squad, as did the late Stanisław Sękiewicz , also known as the Wisła Dragon from 2005, who became team manager, assisting with the ongoing operations of the newly formed team.
