Maciej Kuziemka

Another graduate of the Wisła Kraków Football Academy to make his debut in the Betclic I Liga is Maciej Kuziemka. The young player came on in the 73rd minute of the match against Stal Stalowa Wola (10.11.2024), replacing Angel Baena.
Maciej Kuziemka joined Wisła in the 2021/2022 season, moving to the Kraków club from KS Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. From the outset, the young footballer showed great commitment and a strong work ethic, while also demonstrating considerable ability, quickly becoming a key player in the U-17 team. He then played in the Central Junior League for the U-19 team, and last season also got his chance in the fourth tier, playing for Wisła II Kraków. He made 20 appearances and scored four goals, making a major contribution to the team’s promotion. This season, he has played 14 Betclic III Liga matches with the reserve team, scoring five goals.
The young player’s good form also caught the attention of the first-team coaching staff. Kuziemka has trained with the team on numerous occasions, and now he has finally fulfilled his dream of making his debut in an official competition.
Patryk Letkiewicz

Patryk Letkiewicz joins the ranks of academy graduates making their debut for Wisła Kraków’s first team. The goalkeeper, born on 24 September 2005, began his journey with Wisła’s Football Academy in July 2021. After spending two seasons in the youth teams, he officially began the 2023/2024 season as the reserve team’s first-choice goalkeeper. However, after playing four matches, he joined Wieczysta Kraków on a season-long loan, where his regular appearances helped the team earn promotion to the second tier. At the start of the current season, he returned to Wisła and played the full 90 minutes in three matches for the reserve team, while also training with the first team from the outset. He was named among the substitutes for matches against ŁKS Łódź and Warta Poznań, and in the game against Odra Opole (27.09.2024), 19-year-old Letkiewicz finally made his long-awaited debut for the first team, coached by Mariusz Jop.
Mariusz Kutwa

Born on 17 February 2004, Mariusz Kutwa is a graduate of one of the White Star’s partner clubs, MUKS Halny Kamienica, from which he moved to Kraków in 2017. Soon after joining Wisła, he became a regular starter for his age group, earning a quick promotion to the CLJ U-15 squad. The young midfielder later played for older teams competing in the Central Junior League, namely the U-17 and U-19 sides. Before the start of this season, he was added to the squad of Wisła Kraków’s re-established reserve team, playing in all 18 matches and scoring one goal. “Kutwi” put in very solid performances throughout the season, earning a call-up to the White Star’s first team, with which he trains regularly. The young midfielder joined the first team for its training camp in Turkey ahead of the spring round, and made his debut at the start of that part of the season, in an away match against Stal Rzeszów on 18 February 2024, one day after his 20th birthday.
Dominik Sarga

Dominik Sarga was born on 14 February 2004. He took his first steps in football at LKS Zielonka Wrząsowice before moving to Borek Kraków. He joined Wisła Kraków during the winter break of the 2019/2020 season, starting out with the U-17 team, where he was one of the most prolific players at the time. He later played for the U-19 team before joining the re-established White Star reserve team. In his first season in senior football, Sarga scored nine goals to become Wisła Kraków’s reserve team top scorer in the autumn round, earning a call-up to the first team. The young striker made his debut on 10 December 2023, in a home match against Górnik Łęczna in the 18th round of the Fortuna 1. Liga.
Kuba Wiśniewski

Kuba Wiśniewski was born on 22 March 2004. He began his football development at Śląsk Wrocław’s academy, progressing through the Central Junior League teams before later joining the club’s reserve side. In 2021, he moved to Legia Warsaw, specifically to its CLJ U-19 team. Twelve months later, he joined Wisła Kraków, first playing for the U-19 team and later for the re-established reserve team, where he was named captain. In the autumn round, the young defender made 13 appearances and scored one goal, and his solid form did not go unnoticed by the White Star’s first-team coaching staff. He made his debut in the 14th round of the Fortuna 1. Liga, against Zagłębie Sosnowiec on 3 November 2023.
Jakub Krzyżanowski

Jakub Krzyżanowski was born on 19 January 2006. He took his first steps in football at Bronowianka Kraków, joining the White Star in 2017. The young player progressed through the Wisła academy, appearing for teams in successive age groups. His solid performances in the Central Junior League caught the attention of the White Star’s first-team coaching staff, who added him to the squad. Krzyżanowski made his debut in remarkable circumstances: during Jakub Błaszczykowski’s farewell match against Stal Rzeszów on 5 August 2023, which was attended by more than 30,000 spectators. The young defender is regularly called up to Poland’s youth national teams. In August 2024, he joined Italian club Torino on loan.
Kamil Broda

Born on 19 July 2001, Kamil Broda began his football career as goalkeeper for Wawel Kraków, moving to Reymonta in July 2014 to join the White Star’s youth teams. He improved with each appearance in Wisła’s colors, earning a place in the White Star’s first team at the start of the 2017/2018 season. Broda continued to gain valuable experience and appeared increasingly often in the senior team’s matchday squad. He made his debut on 30 August 2022 in a Polish Cup match against Legia Warsaw’s reserve team. Wisła won convincingly, and Broda kept a clean sheet. The young goalkeeper has also represented Poland at youth level.
Wiktor Szywacz

Wiktor Szywacz was born on 6 June 2002 and is a graduate of the club from Reymonta. He joined the White Star in 2008 after taking part in recruitment training sessions. While playing for the youth teams, he regularly demonstrated his considerable ability and confirmed his huge footballing potential. In the 2014/2015 season, he was named Wisła Kraków Football Academy Player of the Season. He later represented Wisła in the Central Junior League, where he also put in very good performances. The young midfielder’s solid form earned him the chance to train with the White Star’s first team, and ultimately to make his debut against Resovia Rzeszów on 22 July 2022. Szywacz currently makes regular appearances for Wisła Kraków’s reserve team.
Kacper Duda

Born on 1 January 2004, Kacper Duda joined Wisła in July 2019, moving to Kraków from GKS Tychy. He initially played for the White Star’s youth teams, but his immense potential was soon recognized. The young attacking midfielder was therefore promoted to the first team, beginning to train with his older teammates and gaining valuable experience. A few months after joining Wisła, he was sent on loan to Garbarnia Kraków, where he gained further playing time. After returning to the White Star, he made his debut on 16 July 2022, in the season-opening match against Sandecja Nowy Sącz in the Fortuna 1. Liga. Since then, Kacper Duda has been a regular in the Kraków team. He is regularly called up to Poland’s youth national teams.
Piotr Starzyński

Piotr Starzyński was born on 22 January 2004. He joined Wisła in August 2020 from Ruch Chorzów, joining the CLJ U-18 team. From the outset of his time in Kraków, “Starzyk” demonstrated considerable ability, and less than six months later he began training with the White Star’s first team. The young player confirmed his footballing potential and was subsequently added to the first-team squad. On 31 January 2021, he made his debut in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, coming on in a 14th-round match against Piast Gliwice.
Konrad Gruszkowski

Konrad Gruszkowski was born on 27 January 2001. A graduate of Turbacz Mszana Dolna, he plays primarily on the right side of defense and first joined Wisła in July 2018, moving from Akademia Sportu Progres to the U-19 team. In the 2018/2019 season, the defender represented Wisła in the Central Junior League and was an important member of the team. After the season ended, Gruszkowski was loaned to third-tier side Motor Lublin, where he gained experience in senior football. In June 2020, he returned to Kraków and began preparations with the White Star’s first team, making his Ekstraklasa debut against Stal Mielec on 18 October 2020. In 2023, Konrad Gruszkowski left Wisła and joined DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda, who play in the Slovak top division.
Daniel Hoyo-Kowalski

Daniel Hoyo-Kowalski was born in Barcelona on 12 July 2003. He joined the White Star in 2011, taking part in recruitment training sessions for a group coached by Stanisław Chemicz. Making steady progress at Wisła’s academy, he was added to the first-team squad in the 2018/2019 season. On 25 April 2019, aged 15 years, 9 months and 13 days, he made his debut in an official Wisła Kraków match, becoming the youngest debutant in the history of the Kraków club. In 2023, he left the Kraków side to join Hutnik Kraków.
Dawid Szot

Dawid Szot was born on 29 April 2001. He gained football experience with Hutnik Kraków and AS Progres before moving to Wisła in 2018. In January 2019, he began preparations for the spring round with the first team, and on 6 February Wisła registered him to play in the Ekstraklasa. On 22 April, Dawid Szot made his Ekstraklasa debut in a home match against Wisła Płock, wearing the White Star on his shirt. Later, Szot became a regular in the matchday squad of the Reymonta club.
Aleksander Buksa

Aleksander Buksa was born on 15 January 2003. He began his football journey at Bronowianka Kraków, then moved to Akademia Piłkarska 21, before joining Wisła Kraków’s Football Academy in 2014. At Reymonta, the young striker made steady progress, advancing through the ranks and scoring many goals. His talent was spotted by the first-team coaching staff, and he began training with them in November 2018. In January 2019, Buksa was included in the extended squad that traveled to Turkey for a training camp, and he was the White Star’s top scorer in the friendlies. On 22 April 2019, Aleksander Buksa made his Ekstraklasa debut in a match against Wisła Płock, aged 16 years, 3 months and 7 days. On 23 August 2019, he scored in an away match against Jagiellonia Białystok, securing his place in Wisła Kraków’s history as the club’s youngest-ever league goalscorer. In 2021, the young striker left the Kraków team for Italian club Genoa.
Patryk Plewka

Patryk Plewka was born on 2 January 2000. A graduate of Górnik Libiąż, he joined Wisła in the 2013/2014 season. The central midfielder was a standout player at Wisła’s academy, catching the attention of the first-team coaching staff. From the 2017/2018 season, Plewka was able to train with the senior team. His hard work paid off with the achievement of his goal: an Ekstraklasa debut. On 27 July 2018, Patryk Plewka came on in a second-round match against Miedź Legnica. The midfielder made 19 appearances over the 2018/2019 season.
Patryk Warczak

Patryk Warczak was born on 3 October 2003. He began his football journey at Akademia Piłkarska 21 Kraków, joining the White Star in 2016. He played for the Reymonta club’s youth teams until the 2021/2022 season, when he was loaned to Garbarnia Kraków. The Rydlówka club then decided to keep the young defender for another year. After his loan spell ended, Warczak joined second-tier Stal Rzeszów on a permanent transfer.
