For three points with Stal: #WISSTW 5:0
Coach Mariusz Jop's men displayed true dominance, thrashing Stal Stalowa Wola 5-0 on home soil. The match was full of spectacular action and a wide range of emotions, while well-organized moves and excellent shooting secured a convincing victory for the hosts, moving them closer to a top-tier finish ahead of the playoffs. Rafał Mikulec, who scored an own goal, were among the scorers, along with David Niepsuj, Łukasz Zwoliński, Jesús Alfaro, and Tamás Kiss.
From the opening minutes, the home side imposed their style of play and pressed their opponents hard, forcing them to defend. In the sixth minute, Frederico Duarte sent a dangerous shot that bounced off the post, foreshadowing further attempts from the home side. Moments later, in the 12th minute, Angel Baena stepped up, then Angel Rodado crossed, and Rafał Mikulec found the net. His shot was so precise that the ball deflected off a defender and into the net, giving Wisła the lead. With each passing moment, the home side's advantage only grew. In the 34th minute, Stal's goalkeeper was once again pulling the ball out of the net. Poletanović's counterattack sparked the action, and Duarte's precise pass resulted in an unfortunate own goal by visiting defender David Niepsuj. While Kraków enjoyed their second goal, the visitors struggled to find a way to break down the home side's defense. The match intensified even further before the break. White Star gained the upper hand after a second yellow card, and consequently a red card, for Adi Mehremić, who fouled the rushing Angel Baena. From that point on, the game became almost one-sided.
Wisła wins big!
The second half confirmed the Kraków side's dominance. Initially, their attacks on goal were ineffective, but in the 72nd minute, the long-awaited moment arrived. That's when Łukasz Zwoliński broke through and scored the long-awaited goal. Marc Carbó delivered a perfect pass to Łukasz Zwoliński, who received the ball on his chest and fired it into the net with a powerful, confident shot. Wisła were already three goals up, but they had no intention of ending their display of efficiency. In the 81st minute, Jesús Alfaro, after a brilliant move and an assist from Angel Rodado, fired a shot past the far post, once again beating the Stal goalkeeper. Tamás Kiss sealed Wisła's victory in the 88th minute. Kacper Duda passed the ball to Kiss, who raced into the penalty area, won the duel with the defender, and confidently slotted the ball into the net for a 5-0 victory.
