U19 and U17 players better than Tatran Presov
The Wisła Kraków Academy players started the summer preparation period on a high note. In their first friendly matches, the CLJ U19 and U17 teams faced their peers from Slovakia's Tatran Presov in Myślenice, achieving valuable victories.
U19: Solid start and 3-2 victory
Coach Patryk Jałocha's side were the first to take the field. From the opening minutes, Wisła sought to impose their style of play on their opponents and build offensive plays. Tatran defended skillfully, searching for opportunities on counterattacks. The first half was evenly matched, with the few chances remaining ineffective until the 30th minute, when a trialist found the net after a cross from Milan Olej. However, the visitors quickly responded. They equalized in the 43rd minute, and the teams went into the break tied at 1-1.
After the break, Wisła launched a determined attack. In the 53rd minute, the visitors took a 2-1 lead, but the White Star refused to give up. In the 73rd minute, another tested player produced a spectacular shot, finding the back of the net after the ball deflected off the post. Wisła continued to press, with Jakub Czubernat, Kacper Gut, Łukasz Staniów, and Oliwier Pławiński all having their chances, but they were either ineffective or the visiting goalkeeper was on the defensive. The decisive blow came in the 86th minute. After a well-organized move and a pass from Oliwier Pławiński, Jakub Czubernat scored, sealing his team's victory.
