Wisła Kraków II players are back at work! Preparations for the 2025/26 season have begun.
Wisła Kraków's second team has begun preparations for the fall round of the 2025/26 season. Led by coach Karol Nędza, the players reported to the Myślenice Training Center on Monday, July 7, where they began their first training session promptly at 1:00 PM.
The first session was an introductory session. After a briefing by the coaching staff and the players, and a session in the gym, the team moved on to running tests and on-field activities. In the coming days, the coaches will continue to monitor their players' performance through various tests, physical exercises, and friendly matches.
"We've already completed our first day of training. Each athlete received their own exercise schedule a week ago to prepare them physically for the resumption of training. Thanks to this, we were able to conduct running tests today, which were supervised by coach Mateusz Fortuna," says coach Karol Nędza.
27 players will take part in the training camp, including several who were members of the U-19 team last season:
Strikers: Wiktor Benedyktowicz, Kacper Chełmecki, Karol Tokarczyk, Hugo Woyna-Orlewicz, Dominik Sarga
Midfielders: Danylo Boiko, Tomasz Dusik, Dawid Gap, Yehor Khromykh, Kamil Kaczówka, Jan Molenda, Maksym Tsymbaliuk, Wiktor Szywacz
Defenders: Michał Bierzało, Alex Bugaj, Sławomir Chmiel, Jakub Nowiński, Maciej Pachel, Michał Prochowicz, Igor Woś, Kuba Wiśniewski
Goalkeepers: Dawid Krysa, Michał Szynkiewicz, Maciej Wolicki
Additionally, midfielder Adam Pieniądz is currently recovering from an injury. Domink Maśnica is also undergoing rehabilitation following an injury. Filip Kowalski, however, remains sidelined due to an injury.
During the camp, tests are also carried out on players from other clubs.
Currently, three players who were key players last season are preparing for the season with the first team: Szymon Kawała, Radosław Skała and Arkadiusz Ziarko.
"We have a very large group of players, including those who have completed their junior years and joined our training sessions. We want to take a closer look at both these young players and those who stayed with us after last season. The future of some players is still uncertain, and we haven't ruled out the possibility of them going on loan. This first week will be a bit of an organizational challenge, culminating in the first friendly. A clear squad, both in terms of athletics and organization, will likely be determined in the next week of the preseason," adds the reserve team coach.
There have been no changes to the coaching staff. Karol Nędza is the head coach, and his team consists of assistant Łukasz Kawa, goalkeeping coach Sergiusz Mihajłow, motor skills coach Mateusz Fortuna, physiotherapists Grzegorz Pietrzyk and Ryszard Polak, and team manager Paweł Garbacz.
During the preseason, Wisła will play four friendly matches. These will be against opponents from various league levels, allowing coaches to thoroughly assess the players' fitness:
July 11 – Skra Częstochowa
July 18 – AKS SMS Łódź
July 23 – Dalin Myślenice
July 26 – Podlesianka Katowice
The Betclic 3rd League (Group IV) season will begin on the first weekend of August. In the opening match of the 2025/26 season, Wisła Kraków II will face Sparta Kazimierza Wielka away.
