Staying Focused: #WISMOT Match Preview

After a thrilling clash with Piast Gliwice and advancing to the grand final at the National Stadium, it's time to get back to the regular season. Motivated by their success, Wisła will face Motor Lublin for points on Sunday afternoon. The match, part of the 26th round of the FORTUNA 1 League, will take place on April 7th at 12:40 PM.

Wisła and Motor are tied on the same number of league points heading into their clash. Wisła's 41 points currently place the White Star in sixth place, the last position that guarantees a spot in the playoffs for promotion to the Ekstraklasa. The Lublin team is one place lower due to their worse goal difference and the first leg ending 4-1 in favor of the Kraków team.

The Yellow-White-Blues would certainly like to give themselves a chance and join the fight for promotion to the top flight. However, their recent record has been rather inconsistent – after two straight victories, the Motor team failed to win any of their next four matches. A successful result against their neighboring opponent, however, could be a good opportunity to get back on track.

Coach Rudé and his players are still struggling with several absences. In his pre-match press conference, the coach once again emphasized that the entire squad is working hard to replace their returning teammates. The need to earn three points against a tough opponent was also clearly emphasized – especially after the recent setback in Głogów and given the tenacity of the other promotion contenders.

Together for victory!
