Victorious rematch: #WISŁKS 2:1
The return match between Wisła Kraków and Łódzki Klub Sportowy ended in a 2-1 victory for the White Star. Łukasz Zwoliński scored both goals for the hosts, giving Mariusz Jop's men a crucial three points!
The 18th round of the Betclic 1.igi match had the visitors off to a flying start from the very first minute, as Michał Mokrzycki found himself in a prime scoring opportunity. However, the well-positioned Patryk Letkiewicz won the duel in the penalty area, catching the ball in his gloves. This was certainly a warning to the White Star defense, which needed to remain focused against an opponent with a strong attacking presence.
Despite this, the start of the match at the Reymonta Stadium unfortunately belonged to the visitors, who confirmed their advantage with a goal in the 11th minute, making it 0-1. Levent Gulen headed the ball into the net. From that moment on, Wisła had to push forward in search of an equalizer as quickly as possible.
Mariusz Jop's team held onto possession in their opponents' half for long stretches, struggling to find gaps in the Łódź team's formation. Łukasz Zwoliński had a good chance to equalize in the 33rd minute, but his shot was too soft to beat Aleksander Bobek between the posts. Moments later, James Igbekeme attempted a long-range shot, narrowly missing.
The end of the first half was almost entirely dominated by Wisła Kraków. This wasn't confirmed by a goal, however. The dedicated work of the Polish White-Red-Whites' defense meant that, despite their difficulties, coach Dziółka's men went into the locker room with the lead. After the break, Wisła Kraków would have to start scoring again to turn the tide.

About 10 minutes after the restart, Angel Baena found the back of the net after a well-executed counterattack. The Spanish winger's joy was short-lived, however, as the linesman decisively raised his flag for offside. The VAR upheld the decision, leaving the Krakow team to continue fighting for an equalizer.
Łukasz Zwoliński successfully executed the trick in the 61st minute. The striker capitalized on confusion in the ŁKS penalty area and, from close range, gave his team the much-needed equalizer. Wisła were by no means content with a draw, repeatedly fueling further offensive attacks. Kacper Duda, introduced after the break, put in an excellent performance from the bench and was the true driving force behind the home side's attacks.
The scoreline remained 1-1 for some time, and the clock was ticking down to the 80th minute. The match had become somewhat more even, with play primarily concentrated in midfield. Just when it seemed the match might end in a draw, the stadium at R22 was once again filled with incredible celebration after a goal. Łukasz Zwoliński was once again right where he needed to be, scoring a beautiful aerial shot in the 90th minute to make the final score 2-1 for the White Star.
