The away match of the 14th round of the Betclic 1st League against Wisła Płock brought the White Star a much-needed three points! Two goals from Angel Rodado and one from Tamas Kiss ensured the Krakow team comfortably defeated their opponents 3-1.

The match, played in Płock, began without any clear dominance by either side. Both teams tried to play patiently and gradually work the ball closer to their opponents' penalty area. Initially, shots on target were the primary concern. The first player to test the goalkeeper's skills was Sekulski, who jumped well to deliver a high cross. However, his header was too light to catch Patryk Letkiewicz off guard.

The Oilers' primary weapon in the first half was the aforementioned crosses, and after a corner, Łukasz Sekulski once again took center stage. The Wisła Płock striker had ample space to position himself for a shot, ultimately sending the ball deep into the stands. The White Star thrived on their quick attacks, often forcing their opponents into fouls.

In the 41st minute, the Kraków side opened the scoring, landing a cross from the left flagpost. Łukasz Zwoliński extended the pass to the five-yard line, and Angel Rodado, waiting at the far post, headed the ball into the net. The Spaniard's goal sealed the first half's score at 1-0 for the visitors, and after a short break, the fight for all three away points continued.

Don't give up the lead

The second half started brilliantly for Wisła Kraków. After another foul on the sidelines, Giannis Kiakos crossed from a free kick. The Greek defender's pass found Angel Rodado, who crossed the line to extend the visitors' lead to 2-0.

The hosts had to push forward in search of a goal. However, the entire White Star team pressed very well on Sunday afternoon, making it much more difficult for coach Mariusz Misiura's men to build any attacking chances. Such defensive work carries a certain degree of risk, and in the 71st minute, James Igbekeme received his second yellow card—and consequently, a red card.

Playing with a weakened lineup, Wisła Kraków then relied on counterattacks, which soon resulted in another goal. In the 82nd minute, Tamas Kiss skillfully finished a quick run to Gostomski's goal, increasing the score to 3-0 and giving the team from the capital of Lesser Poland a comfortable lead. Despite their numerical advantage, the players in navy blue only found the White Star's goal in the 98th minute, thanks to Piotr Krawczyk. After the restart, the final whistle blew from the midfield, confirming a crucial and decisive victory for Wisła Kraków.
