The CLJ U-17 team has started training!
With the start of the second week of the new year, Wisła teams' preparations for the second half of the season have begun. On Monday, the CLJ U-17 team, among others, returned to training, and their coach, Patryk Jałocha, presented a plan for the coming weeks.
The Wisła Kraków U-17 team has had a solid first half of the season. Coach Patryk Jałocha's players currently sit sixth in the Central Junior League table, seven points behind leaders Legia Warsaw. The young Kraków team has accumulated 30 points so far, consisting of nine wins, three draws, and four losses. After the Christmas and New Year break, it's time to return to training, and thus begin preparations for the spring round of the 2023/2024 season.
The Wisła CLJ U-17 team will certainly enter this season with high hopes. The point differentials at the top of the table aren't significant, and the team can confidently compete for the highest goals. However, beyond the results aspect, individual player development is also crucial, a topic that team coach Patryk Jałocha mentions in his immediate plans. "Before training began, the players had online classes and worked according to an individual training plan. We've been working according to a pre-prepared plan throughout the season, and nothing changes there. We want to develop players' individual skills, but also ensure that as a team, we can control the match in every phase of the game. In the first week, we will definitely perform more motor tests to fine-tune the training load," said the coach.
The coach of the young Wisła team also touched on transfer matters within the team and outlined the squad situation. "Currently, there are no confirmed transfers, but there is a group of players who will be coming to test their skills against our players. Regarding the squad situation, Piotr Rzońca and Franciszek Radwański are sidelined from training due to treatment for meniscus and ankle injuries. Both players will most likely return to training with the team when the season begins," the coach explained.
The preseason is also a time for friendly matches. In the coming weeks, the young Kraków players will play friendly matches against the Dalin Myślenice senior team, the Wisła U-16 team, MSK Žilina (Slovakia), Stal Rzeszów, Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia), and another, as yet unconfirmed opponent.
CLJ U-17 team sparring schedule:

- Wisla Krakow U-16
- MSK Žilina
