Academy graduates played in the Europa League qualifiers
In the first match of the second qualifying round of the Europa League, in which Wisła Kraków lost 1-2 to Rapid Vienna at R22, two alumni of the Wisła Academy appeared on the pitch - Jakub Krzyżanowski and Mariusz Kutwa.
Kazimierz Moskal's side, despite losing 2-1 to Rapid Vienna, left a very positive impression. In their Europa League second-round qualifying match, Wisła Kraków welcomed two graduates of the Wisła Kraków Football Academy – Jakub Krzyżanowski and Mariusz Kutwa.
Both came on in the 67th minute - Krzyżanowski replaced Łukasz Zwoliński, and Kutwa took the place of Patryk Gogoł.
This was Kutwa's second appearance in European competition. The 20-year-old midfielder came on late in the first-round second leg against FK Llapi Podujevo, which the White Star won 2-1. Kutwa played a role in the move that led to the second goal.
