Let's clean up the graves of Wisła together

As All Saints' Day approaches, let's join together to commemorate the deceased Wisła residents buried at Rakowicki Cemetery. On Saturday, October 26th, we will clean selected graves. The event will conclude with a joint lighting of candles at the grave of Henryk Reyman. The event is organized jointly by the Socios Wisła and Historia Wisły associations.

It's worth recalling that in 2019, during just such an operation, information was uncovered regarding the liquidation of the grave of the late Stanisław Kowalski, a Wisła Kraków football player who died in 1971. The grave had not been paid for years and was listed for demolition. The outstanding amount was paid, and the grave was reported to the Institute of National Remembrance in Krakow. The grave was renovated and officially unveiled in 2023. This event demonstrates the importance of such initiatives!

During this time, we also encourage you to visit the graves of deceased Wisła residents who rest in various parts of Poland and around the world. Are you from outside Krakow and would like to care for a grave in your area? Contact the organizers. Wisła graves are located in Bochnia, Tarnów, Bielsko, Katowice, Warsaw, London, and many other places.

You can also support the campaign with a donation for the purchase of candles that will be lit in the Wisła necropolises:
