Wisła's road to the finals in Oslo! Grorud Invitational Trophy 2025

The U14 and U15 teams traveled to Oslo to compete for the 2025 Grorud Invitational Trophy! Both White Star teams showcased their skills and advanced to the finals! Here's what their tournament journey looked like:
Wisla Krakow U-14
The U-14 team showed its strength already in the group stage, where it gave its rivals no chance.
The White Star team began their campaign on August 14th with a match against Finland's Ilves, winning 5-0. A day later, on Friday, they played two more matches and were again unbeaten in both. First, they comfortably defeated Sweden's Västerås Sportsklubb 7-0, and then defeated Stabaek Football 3-0. Thanks to their full points and impressive goal difference, Wisła advanced to the next round as the first team in their group.
On Saturday, August 16th, Wisła Kraków faced tougher challenges, facing the strong Vålerenga Football IF and AIK. Both matches ended in 1-1 draws. Tondera scored against AIK, while Dudek scored against Valarenga. In the decisive penalty shootout, the Kraków team held their nerve and, after a 5-3 victory over Vålerenga, advanced to the final.
Now the U-14 team faces their most important match of the tournament. On Sunday, August 17th at 12:30 PM, Wisła will face Norwegian side Fredrikstad FK in the grand final!
Wisla Krakow U-15
The young Wisła players from the U-15 team are also in the grand final of the 2025 Grorud Invitational Trophy in Oslo! Their road to the decisive match was full of excitement and goals.
The group stage began on Friday, August 15th. Initially, Wisła had to concede superiority to Stabaek Football, losing 2-0. In the second match, Wisła drew 1-1 with Manglerud Star Football IL, with Szpil scoring the first goal for the Kraków team. The final group match was a true showcase of Wisła's scoring form, as they comfortably defeated the tournament hosts, Grorud IL, 4-0. The goals came from Szpil again, Trzyszczyk, and Uchacz, who scored twice. With four points, Wisła advanced to the next stage from second place in the group.
In subsequent matches, Wisła maintained their form from the final match of the first phase. The match against Brann SK ended in a 2-2 draw, with Surma and Uchacz scoring for the White Star. However, the real offensive display came in the match against Mandalskameratene FK, which they won 7-0! Uchacz and Trzyszczyk scored, Dawicki scored twice, and Król was the hero of the match with a hat-trick.
With this impressive victory, Wisła Kraków U-15 secured their place in the tournament final. On Sunday, August 17th at 1:30 PM, the young Wisła players will face an extremely demanding opponent: Athletic Bilbao from Spain.
