Wisła II: A sure victory in Dębica
In the away match of the 28th round of the Betclic III League, Wisła Kraków reserves dominated Wisłoka Dębica, winning convincingly 4-0.
Although the hosts tried to put up a fight, the visitors controlled the game and created chances for the Dębica goalkeeper. Kacper Chełmecki confidently converted a penalty, and Szymon Kawała, Maksym Tsymbaliuk, and Yehor Khromykh added further goals.
Wisła demonstrated its class in the first half, creating several excellent scoring opportunities. Their opponents also offered resistance, but it was the Kraków team that gradually took the initiative. Kacper Chełmecki, Szymon Kawała, and Maciej Kuziemka all had chances to open the scoring. Although each of them created dangerous opportunities, Wisła's effectiveness didn't really materialize until the 34th minute. That's when Karol Tokarczyk, facing an opponent, fell to the ground in the penalty area, prompting the referee to point out the penalty. Fortunately for the White Star, Kacper Chełmecki didn't waste this opportunity, confidently converting the penalty and giving his team the lead.
A display of effectiveness
After the break, Wisła Kraków continued their attacking play. In the 53rd minute, Maciej Kuziemka set up Szymon Kawała with a pass, who stood up to the Wisłoka goalkeeper, keeping his composure, and extended the lead to 2-0. The hosts hadn't yet managed to reconcile themselves to the second goal when, just a few dozen seconds later, Dawid Gap brilliantly passed the ball to Maksym Tymbaliuk, who slotted the ball into the net with a powerful and precise shot. Although Wisłoka attempted to respond, playing ambitiously and searching for opportunities, the White Star's tight defense effectively thwarted their attacks. Wisła, on the other hand, played with increasing confidence, building up attacks smoothly and maintaining the tempo of the match. Their dominance was no longer limited to possession; with each passing minute, they also increasingly dominated the opponents' penalty area. The visitors' impressive performance was capped by a goal from Yehor Khromykh in the 88th minute. After a well-executed move, the White Star player fired a precise shot near the post, making the score 4-0. Despite the hosts' attempts and, at times, fierce fighting, the visitors were the more effective team on the day.
