Wisła II: Victory in the opening friendly matches
In their first friendly match, Wisła Kraków's reserves secured a victory over Lubań Maniowy. Despite a goalless first half, Wisła managed to break down their opponents' defense in the second half and score two goals, with Michał Prochwicz and Danylo Boiko scoring.
From the opening minutes, Wisła tried to set a high tempo and seize the initiative. They actively pressed their opponents and looked for opportunities to quickly open the scoring. Wiktor Benedyktowicz and Dawid Gap had good opportunities early on. Both found themselves in favorable positions, but failed to get shots on target. As the match progressed, the pace slowed somewhat, and the match evened out. Both teams attempted to build up their attacks, but lacked the final pass or precision in their finishing. Lubań had one of the more dangerous situations when a player spotted the advanced Anton Chichkan and attempted to lob him. However, the Wisła goalkeeper remained alert, quickly returning to the crossbar and parrying the ball over the goal with his fingertips. Wisła also held firm. Around the 30th minute, Wiktor Szywacz delivered a powerful cross from a corner, and Radosław Skała rose highest in the penalty area and unleashed a powerful header. The ball unfortunately bounced off the post. Shortly after, Tomasz Dusik tried to surprise the opposing goalkeeper with a shot from a tight angle, but the keeper was once again on the alert. In the 40th minute, Kamil Kaczówka played a through ball to Dawid Gap, who fired it wide of the post. The first half ended goalless.
After the break, Wisła returned to the pitch with renewed energy. From the start of the second half, they decisively took the initiative and regularly visited the Lubań penalty area. Early on, Dominik Sarga attempted a close-range shot, but his shot was saved. Moments later, Hugo Wojna-Orlewicz fired a shot that ricocheted off a defender and went out of bounds. Sarga then threatened again, this time stopping it against the crossbar. Despite Wisła's dominance, the score remained unchanged for a while. It wasn't until the 85th minute that the home side broke through, when Jan Molenda brilliantly passed the ball to Michał Prochwicz, who confidently opened the scoring. Three minutes later, Wisła struck again. This time, Prochwicz provided an assist, and Danylo Boiko scored to make it 2-0.
